I’m a little late this morning! I had a very busy day yesterday doing some things for my old department at work. After work I went to get a haircut and little Daniel was at my parent’s house for dinner. They took him to see the Easter bunny at Hicks Nursery. Just when you think that he can’t possibly get any cuter there is this picture!
His little bow tie is just too cute and I love his new haircut! I also went out for drinks last night with Anthony, Bill and Fred. We had a very nice time but I think that I had a little too much because when I got home I passed out on the couch and woke up at 3:00am! I crawled into bed and here we are!
So let’s get on to today’s post which is for this week’s Pals Paper Arts color challenge…
I do love the Pistachio and Cantaloupe together and the Kraft is the perfect addition. I wanted a quick birthday card, we need those right?! My card base is Whisper White Card Stock and the front is covered in a piece of Kraft. Before I adhered it to the card I adhered a piece of the Sweet Sadie Designer Washi Tape down the left side. My tag is punched from a piece of Crisp Cantaloupe using the Ornate Tag Topper Punch. I stamped the greeting from the Balloon Bash Photopolymer Stamp Set in Pistachio Pudding and cut them out with my Paper Snips. They are adhered to the tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals. A piece of Pistachio Pudding Thick Bakers Twine is tied through the top and the tag is adhered to the card with more Stampin’ Dimensionals. A scattering of Pretty Pink Posh Lime Sorbet and Tangerine Sequins complete the card. I like the layout and a quick color change would make this card work for just about anyone! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Pals Paper Arts color challenge! Thanks for stopping by! Come back tomorrow to see the next set of cards that we made for the class at Scrap-A-Latte! Have a great Saturday! ๐

I love your card and love these colors. Your sequins are placed perfectly again ๐ Oh and of course Little Daniel is an absolute doll! ๐
Thank you so much Tina! Daniel definitely steals the show! ๐
I love your quick birthday card! The tag and Washi tape look great on the kraft background. Thanks for joking us at the Pals Paper Arts this week. Thanks for sharing the cute picture of adorable Daniel. There’s nothing like a little boy all spruced up like that!
Thank you Dawn! We need a quick card to have right?! Glad that you enjoyed dapper Daniel too! Have a wonderful Sunday! ๐
Oh my Justin, Daniel has the most beautiful blue eyes ever. I love it when the kids get dressed to the hilt and look so beautiful and innocent. Of course we all know that beneath all that is a child who could care less what he is wearing and is looking around to see what he can get into! LOL
You’re right, we always need a “quick” birthday card and I need to pull out my washi tape and use some of it. Another one of those “out of sight out of mind” things in this room. I spent last night trying to convince the hubs that our huge garage would make a beautiful studio for me and that it wouldn’t hurt the three vehicles to sit outside one bit! It has a furnace and an A/C unit that goes in the window and he has lots and lots of lights and a telephone. I would just need to run some cable wiring to it for the TV and computer. I talked until I couldn’t talk anymore and still he won’t budge. Geez!
Have yourself a Super Saturday and I hope you have a very special Easter day with your family. Love and hugs.:)
Yes he does Grace! His mom makes sure that he is a snazzy dresser! The looks can be deceiving definitely come into play here for sure! LOL!
I have been trying to be better about using the 50 rolls of washi tape that I have! It really does make a good accent! I wish that I had a bigger space to work in too. My craft stuff has spilled out into the living room, it’s all on wheels so it rolls in to the craft space but then I can’t get in there! I think that you should just take it over! Or just keep trying to wear him down!
I hope that you enjoy your quiet Easter! I’m looking forward to seeing Daniel and celebrating Taylor’s birthday! Love and hugs to you! XOXO! ๐
Oh, Oh, Oh! Daniel is so cute!!! Seersucker pants? So cute, cute, cute!
Yes, your card today is a quick one. I love the sequins — was there any question about that?
You are funny asking me to take a picture of our trees and sending it to you to post! I could probably manage the photo, but I don’t have any idea where my cord is for my camera to computer hook up, so that isn’t going to happen. Just be content to know that one side of the long road is pinkish-purple blossoms and the other side is all white. Very pretty…
A message to Grace — don’t feel too bad. I lost my humongous studio in our finished basement when our son wanted it for his “private” room and he moved my stuff upstairs to his bedroom. That was seven years ago and my stamping life hasn’t been the same since. When he moved out into his own condo, he left a ton of his things and then my husband took over for his business storage! I think I want my own condo! The two of them always conspire against me as they have never been a fan of my stamping — too much space, time, and money needed — as if what they do doesn’t require the same. So I have kind of taken over 3 of our upstairs bedrooms! Ha!
Have a glorious Saturday and Easter Sunday Everyone! Nancy B (We surely do share ourselves here, don’t we? Justin makes it so friendly! Thanks.)
Oh Nancy – that’s horrible! My hubby always says – when a child moves out fill his room half way up the wall with concrete then, when he/she want to return you simply tell them if they can clean out the room they can return. LOL
I’m not as nice as you. I would have told my son he had 60 days to get all his stuff out once he moved out or it was going to the dump. Then my husband would have had to fight me to put his stuff down in my studio. Make him take the three bedrooms for storage and go get your studio back! I’ll come help if I can. These guys just don’t understand that having our own space is often what saves them from lots of bad stuff! LOL
LOL! That’s great Grace! I have to remember that! ๐
Dapper Daniel, thanks to hi mum! Sequins make everything better Nancy!
He he! I figured that I would give it shot! I’ll imagine how nice they look!
See Grace, you need to take a lesson from Nancy! She showed them! LOL! Happy Easter to you!
It’s nice to get to share with friends! I’m glad that we all do! ๐
OMG! Too adorable, just love the bow toe, but I do see some devilish behavior behind that smile! For a quick card this is great, love those colors together. Where do you purchase your colored sequins from? I’ve been looking and not having much luck. We have a beautiful spring day here. Hubby and son are of to BWW to watch the final four, I have playtime, hope you have a relaxing Easter!
Thanks Linda! He is a little devil but he cleans up nice!
Glad that you like the card too! I get my sequins from Pretty Pink Posh, she has loads of colors and sizes! Happy that you had a nice Spring day! Have a lovely Easter my friend! ๐
Daniel is so stinking cute!! Oh, and your card is nice, too. ;P
Thanks Cindy! He is adorable! Glad that you like the card too! ๐
Gosh he is sooooo cute! He looks a little bit, just a little LOL, mischievous does he not? Love your quick and CAS card today. Also working on this challenge. Happy Easter (don’t eat too much chocolate. LOL)
Thank you Louise! Yes, he can be trouble but he hides it well! Glad that you like the card too! Happy Easter to you my friend! XO ๐
OMGosh Justin! Daniel is too adorable, I can almost see his little halo! What a beautiful photo, another one to bring out at his 21st!! Today’s card is perfect for those times when you forget someone’s birthday and you have a Stampin’ Emergency!! It looks so good, and doesn’t take hours to make ๐ Its Sunday lunch time here, and I have just eaten ANOTHER chocolate egg mmmmm. Good thing the ol’ diet is on hold for a couple of weeks, lol! Hope you are having a very Happy Easter Justin! ๐ xoxo
He is quite Dapper for sure Kelly! My brother really does take great pictures! I like to do a quick card every so often. They aren’t as much fun for me as the ones that take forever but I need them! I have had too much chocolate already and it just turned Sunday! XOXO ๐
Hi Justin! Sorry I didn’t get a chance to post a comment to you yesterday. Daniel is just THE cutest thing I’ve ever seen. I love this pic of him and that bowtie is just too cute! Great card, I love this color combo! And you know how I feel about tags and sequins!!
Thanks ok Karen! Yes, Daniel is a little charmer! Happy that you enjoyed the card! I too am a lover of tags and sequins! ๐
Oh my goodness, no, he couldn’t get any cuter! Your card is fabulous! I love the sequins coming off the tag. Thanks for joining us at PPA this week!
LOL! Thanks Michelle! He really is a cutie! Glad that you enjoyed the card too! Hope that you have a lovely week! ๐
Oh my goodness, Daniel looks like he’s trying to say… “I’ve got a little song to sing to you Easter Bunny and it’s going to be a good one!!”
I love the way you used the new punch on the card. Hmmm, it’s giving me great ideas. Plus, I LOVE the sequins and they will be at home I hope by the time we get there!! Yay, oh yeah, I’m going to be in the Sequin Zone ๐
LOL! Daniel is just way too cute! He is quite the character!
