Another somewhat cool but sunny day here on Long Island. The workday wasn’t too bad yesterday, I managed to get a bunch of stuff done. When I got to my parent’s little Daniel was there in all of his smiling glory! We had dinner and then the two of us went outside and played ball on the front porch with Winston. He loves when Winnie tries to get the ball and just laughs and laughs! So cute! I came home for a bit and made my card for today while I was on Skype with Andrea. After I finished my card I headed over to Heather’s for a drink, she makes the best Whiskey Smash I have ever had and now it’s my drink of choice! I also got to play with the new kitten Pasha, she is just way too cute and lovey as you can see from the picture!
Just siting there on my knee. It was actually funny because she just sort of appeared there put of nowhere. We snuggled for a bit and then she bounded of my lap to go and play with her mouse! Just too cute!
My little card that I made for today’s post is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…
I stayed really true to the sketch, right down to the butterfly! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb cut to 3 1/2″ wide. I cut some vellum with the Simon Says Stamp Clustered Leaves Craft Die. They are tucked behind a piece of Gold Foil Sheet that is adhered to the card with SNAIL. My label is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Frames Craft Dies from a piece of the NEW Tip Top Taupe and Basic Black. The greeting is from the Butterfly Basics Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. It’s adhered to the card with SNAIL. My butterfly is cut from Basic Black with the Simon Says Stamp Devonshire Butterfly Die. A tiny piece of Foam Tape adheres it to the card. A few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins adhered here and there finish the card. I love the look of the Tip Top Taupe with the Basic Black and Gold, nice and rich and elegant! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you very much for stopping by today! Have a terrific Thursday 🙂

Hello Nina!
Thank you very much! I hope that you had a fabulous day! 🙂
Awwwwwwwww, kitty! She is beautiful! I just love all things fluffy 🙂 This card is absolutely stunning Justin! It is so classy, and the lines in that butterfly!! I would actually buy that butterfly, and they are one of my least favourite things (as you know, lol!) Sounds like you and Daniel had fun with Winnie, I bet he keeps everyone on their toes! Hope today was a good day for you :- D Cheers Justin xoxo
Yes, she is a cute little kitty Kelly! Thank you! I do love that butterfly, it’s so delicate! Yes, I do know that you are not fond of them so I know that it’s a good one! Daniel definitely does keep everyone one their toes for sure! Today wasn’t bad, hope it was good for you too! XOXO 🙂
A lovely elegant card today and the butterfly die is really delicate. Daniel sounds so adorable and he certainly has fun with you and Winston! I met my favourite little boy who I really bonded with when he was at the nursery a couple of days ago. It was so lovely to see him and how grown up he is now and that he remembered me, made my heart squeeze with delight! Pasha is a cutie and they say animals know a good person when they meet them! That’s exciting your flights are booked and look forward to September. Take care, Michelle xo
Thank you so much Michelle! The butterfly die is great! Daniel is just the cutest! Aww, that sounds lovely that you got to see him! Pasha is hysterical! She bounds all over the place! I can’t wait to get over there!! You take care too! XOXO 🙂
