Freshly Made Sketches 198

And a very happy Saturday to you! I’m at The Ink Pad for the morning and then I’m going to wander around a bit. Later I’ll meet up with Michael for some dinner and then we are staying at my friend Kim’s again. Last night we took a really long walk along the Hudson, like 10 miles in total long! The sunset was beautiful and the weather was perfect. From Battery Park we walked to ChinaTown and had dinner at one of the best Chinese Restaurants, Wo Hop. If you are ever in Manhattan you have to go there, but not the one upstairs you need to go to the one downstairs! Here are some pictures from our wandering last night…

So today I have my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

Freshly Made Sketches 198

As soon as I saw this I knew exactly what I wanted to use! I kept the card extremely simple, not even any stamping! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Across the lower portion is a strip of So Saffron. The two panels are pieces of paper from the Simple Stories Summer Vibes 6×6 Paper Pad. I backed one with Lost Lagoon and the other with Tangelo Twist. The bottom one is adhered to the card with SNAIL the one with the fun saying is adhered with Fun Foam and SNAIL. Some Pretty Pink Posh Summer Mix and Tangerine Sequins scattered across the card finish it off nicely! Sometimes a simple card can be bright and fun, don’t you think?! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches and the pictures from my outing with Michael! Thank you for sharing in my day and I wish you a super fun Saturday! 🙂

  3. You have got to be kidding me Justin! You walked from Battery Park to China Town……………just thinking about that long a walk makes me tired and makes my feet hurt! LOL Oh, it must be nice to be young again. 🙂 I love Battery Park and we used to go into China Town once a month with my Vietnamese friend so she could grocery shop. The food there is fantastic but boy, you don’t want to use the restrooms! LOL I love Manhattan! Glad that Michael is getting to spend quite a bit of time there while he is in the states. He needs to eat all the foods he can’t get in Brazil while he is here. I always enjoy your photos and thank you so much for sharing your adventures with us.

I too love a CAS card and this one couldn’t be more perfect. The saying is awesome and not only perfect for the card but would be wonderful on a scrapbook page. Great job as always.

Wishing you a Wonderful Weekend and lots of wonderful times. Love and hugs, XO 🙂
