I know that I keep saying it but it was an absolutely gorgeous day here yesterday! I went into Manhattan in the late morning to see my friends Joe and Penny. Seeing as I’m always early for everything I got to sit in the middle of Broadway for a little bit and enjoy my Venti Vanilla Soy Latte from Starbucks. On my way back to Penn Station I call my friend Kim to see if she had gone to lunch already and she hadn’t so we met up and got Subway and sat in a park near her office. You have to make the most of this lovely weather because before you know it it will be gone! When I got back home I worked on some projects and then later on in the evening I went over and hung out with Heather. We ran to Target for some necessities and then I came home and watched TV for a bit before calling it a night! Here is a little picture of my view in the middle of Broadway…
Nice and quiet with not too much traffic!
It’s Tuesday and you know what that means, it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge…
A fun sketch from your’s truly! My card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The background is a piece of Recollections Black 110lb with a piece of Gold Fancy Foil Designer Vellum down the middle. I adhered it to the card with SNAIL. My fun clock is cut out from some more Black 110lb using the Simon Says Stamp Clock Shaker Craft Die. The bells are cut from some Silver Foil Sheet. I used the Sizzix Circles Framelits to cut out the Window Sheet, White backing and a piece of Black Fun Foam. My Happy Birthday is from the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I used Multi-Matte Medium to adhere all of the pieces together right after I filled it with some Pretty Pink Posh Flat Sparkling Clear and Gold Confetti Sequins. A pretty neatΒ Birthday card that would work well for just about anyone! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Sketch Challenge! Head on over to the blog and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and then let us see your take on the sketch by entering your card in the gallery! Thank you very much for visiting today! Thank you Nancy! I have been wanting to use that clock since I got it at the beginning of the year! I did have a lovely day yesterday! Hope that you did too! π
Hi Justin:
Just when I though your cards couldn’t get any better you come along and make this fantastic clock card. I mean really, how cool is this? It almost looks like a clock bank with coins inside. Simon Says puts out the best dang dies ever! I can’t believe you got that die in January and didn’t us it until October. What made you remember it now? Very cool. Love it.
A bit cloudy here today with a chance of showers. Despite the cloudy the brilliance of the foliage is still dazzling. I just love this time of year, it’s my favorite. You have yourself a Tremendous Tuesday. Love and hugs from beautiful Maine! XO π
Hello Grace!
Thank you so much Grace! I like that die, it cuts out all of the pieces and yes, it does look like there are coins inside! Simon does have some really neat dies! I see it overtime I flip though my dies and just needed a good reason to get it out! LOL!
We are supposed to have some rain today too, I hope that nice weather comes back! I know it’s your favorite time, if it stayed in the 70 it might be my favorite time too! LOL! I had a good day, hope you did too! XOXO π
Love, love, love this card, Justin. It’s just so cute and like you said it could work for anyone. Since most of us have a tougher time coming up with ideas for masculine cards, it is a terrific design for them. Thanks so much. Have a great day.
Thank you HJ! It definitely has a masculine feel to it, the die is so neat! Hope that you enjoyed your day too! π
Another great card π Love your picture too–it’s been incredibly beautiful in Kentucky lately and I hate to see that go! You are a man after my own heart–I’m always early everywhere I go too!
Thanks Teresa! I am hoping that the nice weather stays for a bit longer! SO nice to hear that someone else likes to be early! We would get along just fine! π
Great shaker card, love the clock, thinking that would make a great New Years card too.
Thanks Lynne! Yup, it would be perfect for a New Year’s card! π
Great card!! I love when you share pictures of New York City! One of the best trips I ever took was a long weekend to New York City with my sister. We had the best time and your cityscapes bring back some wonderful memories! Thanks! π
Thank you so much Mary! Not the most exciting picture but it was my view for a bit! The city is wonderful and I’m so happy that you had a good time there and that I get to bring back some fun memories! π
