Happy Friday everyone! It was another absolutely beautiful day here yesterday! I went over to see Sue and I got to have the top down in the car! Oh how I have missed that! We got some Etsy stuff accomplished and went and had bagels for lunch. When we got back to Sue’s we spoke to Michael and then I headed home to see my little Daniel! He came over to my house and let Winston out, gave him a biscuit and then we went for a walk. On the way back he sat on my shoulders and told my mum “look at how tall I am Nanny!” when we got back to the house. When I went to leave he said with a very sad face “Uncle Justin, you didn’t tell Daniel that you love him”. So I told him that I did and I got a hug and a kiss! He is just the cutest little man ever! From there I headed over to Heather’s and we ran up to IKEA to get her another chair and lamp. When we got back I assembled the new goodies and then Adam and Stephanie came over for Thirsty Thursday. Another wonderful day! Today I’ll be off to The Ink Pad for my Hero Arts Class tonight and then I’ll be at Kim’s. It’s back to The Ink Pad for the day tomorrow with Anna! Here is a little selfie of Daniel and I on the way back from our walk…
Oh I just love that little guy so much! Note that he has his remote in his hand, you never know when you are going need one of those! LOL!
Now on to today’s post which is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…
I did a little hybrid of the two! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Smoky Slate. I stamped my greeting from the Simon Says Stamp Hand Lettered Encouragement Photopolymer Stamp Set In Onyx Black on the background. A piece of Basic Gray is cut out with the Mama Elephant Framed Tags – Madison Avenue Creative Cuts. I adhered a piece of Acetate to the back of the frame with Scor-Tape and then added a layer of Foam Tape. A piece of Solar White 80lb is cut out with the Mama Elephant Landscape Trio Creative Cuts and adhered to the card. I added some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear and Marshmallow Sequins and then adhered the frame to the card. Some more Solar White 80lb and a piece of Daffodil Delight are cut out with the Mama Elephant Stitched Sky Creative Cuts and adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and Foam Tape. The raindrops are from the same die set and are adhered to the Acetate with Multi-Matte Medium. I love that Madison Avenue Frame and the sentiment is a really nice and different one! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thank you so much for coming by and visiting me today! I wish you all the best Friday ever! 🙂

Good morning J. He is too cute!! Love the remote in his hands. Also love this card. I love how the colors reflect a more cloudy day but the sun and shimmer of the sequins hints at shiny and bright things ahead. Lord…I sound like I have a degree in psychology. haha…
Hello Michael! Yes, he is just about the cutest thing ever! He’s a gadget guy just like me! Thank you! I like your analysis of the card!! Enjoy your day! 🙂
Fantastic shaker, Justin! Love the happy yellow peeking through the clouds – I think you did a great job with the challenge! Wishing you a great weekend!!
Thank you Christy! I love the stitched dies, especially the clouds! You have a super weekend too! 🙂
Gorgeous card! And little boys *need* the remote. I believe they get that from their dads. And Grandpas ;o)
Thank you Sharon! Yes, they do need the remote for sure! LOL! 🙂
Hi Justin!
Daniel is adorable!! He is the happiest looking kid. Loves his Uncle Justin.
You card is fantastic! I love the clouds and the sun peeking out and all those sequins. Of course the sentiment is perfect. Have a great day!
Hello Gerri!
Thank you! He is super cute and yes, he loves me and I love him!
Glad that you like the card! I hope that you have a wonderful day! 🙂
Reading today’s post made me smile Justin – Daniel is such a cutie! Love today’s card, especially the sentiment. Love the shaker element too – you are just too clever! Thanks for playing along with The Paper Players this week!
Thank you Joanne! I love to hear that I got to make you smile! Daniel is the sweetest little boy! I do love my shaker cards and the sentiment is neat! Have a lovely weekend! 🙂
Hi Justin:
Well, you know how I just love a shaker card. The dimension you get when you adhere die cuts to the outside of the acetate is awesome. This card is absolutely fantastic!
Daniel sure loves his Uncle Justin! It’s nice to be the Uncle or Aunt because you can have fun with the kids and then turn them back over to their parents. Also, the same applies to Aunts and Uncles that apply to grandparents – you can make your own rules and do things with the kids that Mom and Dad may not necessarily like or agree with. Stuff like slipping them a chocolate candy before dinner or letting them splash in the puddles after a rainstorm. Daniel sure is looking “grown up” these days. Enjoy your time with him and enjoy your class tonight. Can’t wait to see what you are making. Have a Fabulous Friday. Love and hugs – XXOO 🙂
Hello Grace!
Thank you! It was fun to make it all dreary and then brighten it up with the sun and the sequins!
I LOVE Daniel! He is so awesome! Yes, I do like that I get to give him back, but I would keep him too! LOL! I like to sugar him up when he comes over, he knows where all of the goodies are in my house! Believe it or not he is potty trained! He is a big boy, or so he will tell you! I always enjoy my time with him! Class will be great! Gotta go and cut for it now! You enjoy your day too my friend! Love and hugs to you! XOXO 🙂
Love that card with all of the dimensional pieces, and the “shower” of silver sequins – brilliant! And that is one awesome picture of you and Daniel. You need to frame that picture of happiness.
Thank you Carol! I like the sun peeking out and yes, I love sequins! LOL! I love that little guy and yes, I should frame that pic! 🙂
he is adorable! Too bad we grow up, lol. I love this card! That sentiment is a must have!
Thank you Linda! Yes, it is too bad that we grow up! Glad that you like the card and yes, that sentiment is great! 🙂
Little Daniel is simple the cutest. He has the greatest smile. I love all the elements of your card today, especially the shaker element and the bright sun!! Take care. Who would have thought you could drive your car with the top down in early March?? Aren’t we just so lucky? Have a great weekend.
Thank you HJ! He does have a pretty great smile! Glad that you like the card! I was loving the top down in the car the other day! We are very lucky indeed! Hope that you are enjoying your weekend! 🙂
