Is it Friday yet?! It seems like it should be! LOL! Yesterday was a long day! I did have a nice time at The Ink Pad with Barbara and I got to have my Chop’t salad again! YUM! Class was nice with Caitlyn, if she does another Hand Lettering class I’m definitely going to take it! I got home around 11:00 last night and was done! I could’t wait to crawl into bed! Today I have a lot of my stuff to catch up on. Lot’s of stuff actually! Hope I can get through it all!
Today I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…
Yup, there is that Goldfish again! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and I stamped some of the images from the Hero Arts Color Layering Goldfish Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Tide Pool Ink. More of the bubbles are then heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Vellum that I flagged on the right. My goldfish is from the same set and is stamped in Simon Says Stamp Slate and Black Ink and then stamped again with the first layer of the stamp in Versa-Mark and heat embossed in Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder. My scissors cut him out, although I did finally get the dies! The greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and heat embossed in more White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Black 110lb. I used E-Z Runner and Foam Tape to adhere everything together and then to attach it to the card. To enhance the bubbles I added some Pretty Pink Posh Ocean Spray and Sparkling Clear Sequins. And I’m still enamored with that goldfish, I do think that I like him in the back the best! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Really cute card, Justin. I love the fish in black as well and the little strip of embossed vellum. Of course a card would not be complete without some PPP sequins, right? Take care and have a great day! Friday is on the way!
Thank you so much HJ! I really do love that Hero Set! You know how I feel about my sequins! LOL! I hope that you too have a great day and yes, it will be Friday before we know it! 🙂
Good Morning Justin!
I have the Goldfish set and the dies but haven’t had time to use it yet. My ex raised Beta’s for many years and I will use this set to make his birthday card (yes, we are still friends and acknowledge each others birthdays)! I know he will love it. When I received my order for it Hero Arts included a bunch of stick on bubbles. I thought that was really cool. I do love the way you stamped and embossed the bubbles on the vellum. Great card from a great artist!
Please don’t rush this week by too quickly, I have too much to do! LOL We still have a little bit of snow from yesterday around the outside of the house but I think the sunshine today will get rid of that. We have had snow in May in this area but I have my fingers crossed that won’t happen this year as I will be traveling on the 13th and won’t return for 10 days. You have yourself a Wonderful Wednesday my friend. Love and hugs, XXOO 🙂
Hi Grace!
I love that Goldfish! I think that it’s great that you and your ex are still friends! Oh, that is cool that you got the stick on bubbles! They are pretty good that way! Thank you very much!
LOL! I have too much to do too but it’s been a long week for me already! My cousin in England had snow on Tuesday! WHAT?! I hope that is the last of the snow for you! Safe travels and where are you off to?! Hope that you had a good day! Love and hugs! XOXO 🙂
I love this. I agree I think the blck fish is the best. Looks like a Black Molly, I loved those fish when my brother had his tank. The bubbles on the velum are perfect. Sorry, its only HumpDay!
Thank you Linda! Yes, I used to have a black molly years ago! It’s a super neat stamp set! Have a great day my friend! 🙂
Justin,
Love, Love, Love this card!!! That goldfish is the best! The sequins are perfect as bubbles!
Hi Gerri!
Thank you! I do love the goldfish, he is so life like! 🙂
