Another busy day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! The weather was just lovely yesterday and it made it a little harder to concentrate! I stopped by my old work to drop a card off for my friend Valerie! It was so good to see her! I was bummed that no one from my old department was there but Nancy was getting an award for something, no surprise there! She is very dedicated to her work! Despite the fact that I kept going outside all day I still managed to get a lot done. I snuck out a little early so I could get to my Parent’s in time to see my little buddy Daniel! We played outside for a bit and then I had dinner, dropped my stuff off at my house and headed over to Heather’s for an early Thirsty Thursday! A good time as always! Today I have a bunch of orders arriving and my friend Sue is going to come by the store and help! That will be fun!
It’s Wednesday so I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch…
I’m getting in the habit of taking supplies with me to the store so I can work on my cards while I’m there. I look like a bag person when I leave the house in the morning! LOL! Today’s card base is Neenah Solar White 80lb cut to 5″ x 10″ and folded in half. I covered the front with a piece of Battleship Gray. Across the top is a piece of Bo Bunny Toy Box Paper, the Cheerful piece to be exact. In the lower left is a piece of Gold Mirror Card that I cut out with the Spellbinders Orchard Harvest Tags & Accessories Die. I used my Artisan X-Plorer to cut and emboss it and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner. The flowers and leaves are from the Altenew Vintage Roses Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Blush, Rouge, Crimson and Velvet Crisp Ink. The leaves are stamped in Hero Arts Lemon and Butter Bar and they are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I used Foam Tape to adhere them to the card. A small flag is cut from a piece of Pink and adhered slightly under the flower at the top. My greeting, from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set, is heat embossed on another piece of Pink and cut out with the Taylored Expressions ? Die. I adhered it to the card with Foam Tape. I decided that it needed a little bling so I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets and Gold Sequins. I love the colors, especially the leaves stamped in the bright yellow! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards, including the latest addition… my friend Andrea! Add your card to the gallery so we can see your take! Thank you very much for coming by today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Mirror, mirror on the card……………………… You just know I love me some gold mirror paper! LOL Those flower stamps really do look as though you cut them out of a magazine instead of stamped and cut them. It is amazing what the stamping world is producing these days compared to 15 years ago when I started stamping! Your summery looking card is just in time for what is set to be an unseasonably warm week next week. Just beautiful.
So glad you are enjoying being a “proprietor”. I always wanted to open a quilt shop but never had the nerve to do it. I’m glad you do. I was afraid I would fail so I never took the chance. I’m so happy for you that you are living your dream job. Have yourself a Wonderful Wednesday Justin! Love and Hugs, XXOO 🙂
Apparently I’m a little bit obsessed with that Gold Mirror Card! I do love the Altenew stamps, such a great look with minimal effort! I am really looking forward to the warm weather!
I am loving being at the store and getting to share my love of stamping with so many people! It really is my dream job and I can’t believe that I’m actually doing it! Sometime you just have to go for it! Nothing ventured, nothing gained! I hope that you had a great day my friend! Love and hugs to you! XOXO 🙂
Thirsty Thursday? I have been having enough trouble keeping track of what day of the week it is, but now you are really throwing me off! I really like your use of the gold mirror paper. Your roses are gorgeous! Such a pretty card…
Enjoy your WEDNESDAY. Hey, you can have another Thirsty Thursday tomorrow! Hugs, Nancy B
P. S. Isn’t it great to just run in to your old work place knowing that you can just run right out again?!
LOL! Heather had things to do this Thursday and I have class so we moved it! So happy that you like the Gold Mirror Card, I use it enough! LOL!
I think that I will have another Thirsty Thursday when I get home, very late!
Yes, I do still love the people that I used to work with, just not the job! 🙂
Ditto what Grace said about how proud we are of you for taking the plunge into owning your own shop and following your dream. Your card is so pretty today with the beautiful vintage roses, some mirror paper for bling and Battleship Gray background paper. That is not one I would have thought of, but that’s what you do best is surprise us by using supplies in unusual ways to keep our creative juices flowing, right? You do a great job of it. Have a great hump day!
Thank you HJ! Know that I would be where I am today without all of you! So glad that you enjoyed the card! I do love those flowers and yes, the Gold Mirror Card is ok too! LOL! I try my best to keep you guys coming back! Thanks again! 🙂
OMG! I love vintage, this screams vintage!!!! The roses are gorgeous, I’m writing that color combo down. LOL, I just checked, i have that ink set. Beautiful creation. Hot himid here, not complaining, beats winter any day. I’m so happy for you and jealous. Owning a craft store is a dteam job. Not minimizing the hours you put in, my stepdad owned a hobby shop. He worked his butt off but loved it
Thank you Linda! I love the bright red and yellow against the dark grey, really makes the images stand out! I’m with you, I’ll take hot and humid over winter or cold of any kind for that matter! Love the Altenew Inks! I am definitely working my butt off but yes, I’m loving every second! 🙂
