What a fun day at the store yesterday! I have to admit that the Crop weekends can be a really good time! We laugh a lot, especially when I post on Facebook that the music is draining the life out of me! I listen to all kinds of music but a day of Lite FM is like being in a never ending elevator ride! LOL! I finally got all caught up on my blog comments! YAY! Thanks to all of the people that left comments for the Hero Arts Blog Hop post! And to my regular peeps you have all been responded to! We can now resume our regular conversations! I had Chinese food for dinner with my Parents when I got home and Taylor and Kiera had Coldstone. Before I settled into the house for the evening I ran a few errands. The rest of the night was spent watching YouTube videos and making my card for today! Day two of the Crop will be in full swing when I get to the store this morning. More laughs for sure!
This card has been floating around in my head for a while so I decided that it was high time that it made an appearance! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I heat embossed my greeting from the Altenew To the Moon Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of The Paper Cut Pluto Stardream Metallic that was sized to cover the entire card front. The moon is from the same set and is stamped in Morning Frost, Evening Gray and Moon Rock Crisp Ink. I stamped it again with the solid image using Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder to give it a nice glossy finish. To cut it out I used the Sizzix Circles Framelits. My feathers are cut from, shocker, Gold Mirror Card using the Spellbinders Feathers Shapeabilities Dies. I added a piece of Fun Foam and E-Z Runner to the back of the moon and tucked the feathers under it and adhered it to the card. To complete my outer space feel I added some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear, Gold, Sand and Charcoal Sequins with Multi-Matte Medium. Yes the moon looks a little odd with feathers hanging from it but it was in my head! I told you that it can be a little weird in there! LOL! I hope that you like my card for today! Thanks for indulging me with your visit! Have a sensational Sunday! 🙂

What a cool card! Love the feathers and all of the sequins swirling out there in space!
Thank you Carol! I thought that the feathers were a little unexpected! 🙂
Wow!! What a fabulous card, Justin!! It’s fantastic when you are able to execute what you have envisioned. The feathers look pretty cool hanging from the moon – makes me think of a Native American dreamcatcher. And the sequins are the perfect accent to finish off the card.
Thanks so much Christy! I love when I can see the card before I make it and all I need to do is put it together! YES! A dreamcatcher is exactly what I was thinking of too! You know me and my sequins! LOL! Have a lovely day! 🙂
This is a beautiful card but I bet in person it is a real stunner where all the embossing and the gold mirror feathers could really shine, plus of course the inevitable sequins. It’s always a great feeling for me when I get caught up on things that have been hanging over my head, so I’m sure you felt a sense of relief about that. You are so conscientious to answer each comment. It takes a lot of time and we appreciate it. Take care. Enjoy your day.
Thanks HJ! It definitely does look much more sparkly in person! Do love my sequins! LOL! I love when I get all caught up! I hate when I have a lot of stuff that needs to get done! You guys are so amazing to take the time to come by and comment and I’m so lucky that I have comments to respond to! I have gotten to know you a little and I feel that we are all a big group of friends here! That’s my favorite part of the blog by far! I hope that you have a thoroughly awesome day my friend! 🙂
OH, oh, oh! This card is beyond fantastic! Christy is absolutely right. The first thing I thought of was a dreamcatcher. I love the gold on the black – so rich, so elegant, so gorgeous! You out did yourself this time Justin. Just when I thought you had given up on the feathers, you come up with this amazing card. WOW!
So glad you are having fun at “work”. You are getting to meet so many new people. I bet if you sat down and made a list of all your friends it would take up 8 or 10 pages. Such a sweet and popular guy! You have yourself a spectacular Sunday. Love and hugs and thanks for all you do! XXOO 🙂
Why thank you Grace! It was definitely meant to conjure up the image of a Dreamcatcher! I still love my feathers, especially these ones! They look so cool in gold!
I really am enjoying myself at “work”! It’s a lot to do for one person but so much fun! I’m lucky to have the friends that I have! That is very nice of you to say! I try to be a good person! Love and hugs for all that you do too! XOXO 🙂
