Well, I just had the most fun day yesterday! My friend Crystal, aka Super Stamp Girl, stopped by the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store with her friends Donna and Laurie who also had her daughter with her. We had a very nice visit and as an added bonus Crystal brought me some apple cider donuts! They were delicious by the way! I love getting to see my crafty friends in person! All four of the ladies were wonderful! Here is a little picture of us…
Thanks so much Crystal for coming by with your lovely friends! Can’t wait for your next visit!
The crop was fun as always, I love getting to chat with all of the ladies! I had the nicest ride home in the car, I can’t explain how happy it makes me to drive along with the top down and the music on. It’s the little things! My Parent’s went to Pennsylvania and when they got home we had dinner. After that I ran a few errands and then made my card for today. Such a nice Saturday! 😀
My card that I have to share with you today is believe it or not a nice quick and simple card! My base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I covered the front in a piece of the Altenew White Woodgrain Paper. The flowers and the butterfly are all from the Altenew Wild Hibiscus Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed them onto a piece of Black 110lb in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder and cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. My sentiment comes from the Altenew Beautiful Quotes Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also heat embossed in Gold on Black. I used a 1″ Circle Punch to cut off the right side, just for something different. All of the flowers, butterfly and greeting are adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. I could have left the card as is and been happy but you know that I think everything looks better with some Pretty Pink Posh Sequins! I added Sparkling Clear, Onyx and Gold ones and then added a few Small Clear Droplets to the middles of the 8mm Sparkling Clear ones for a little something extra! It really was a nice simple card but I love the look of the gold embossing on the black card stock with the subtle white woodgrain background and the sentiment is awesome! I hope that you enjoyed the card today! Thanks very much for checking in! Have an amazing Sunday! 🙂

Justin,
The black embossed with gold is striking. Beautiful card!
Hi Gerri!
Thank you! Simple but effective! 🙂
I love the gold embossing on the black. Using these beautiful hibiscus blooms, they make a stunning card. I love the greeting! It is the mantra of your life! You are amazing. You can get more done after work than I can do all day! lol Have a great Sunday, my friend.
Thank you HJ! I wanted something relatively simple but not dull! I’m trying to come up with quick cards for a class at the store! I think that the greeting is awesome! All of the ones in that set are great! LOL! I do try! Hope that you had a fabulous weekend! 🙂
Striking card! Have a Superb Sunday! Hugs, Nancy B
Thanks Nancy! Hope you have a superb Sunday too! 🙂
Good Morning Justin!
Starting the day with a photo of you and some store visitors is always fun! Seems like you are always surrounded by smiling ladies having fun. I just love it. AND I love your stunning card today. The gold on black for the hibiscus is both regal and elegant at the same time. I have hibiscus that is white with a rose colored center in my flower garden and it’s my favorite. The blooms are huge – unfortunately they only last one day and then are replaced with new blooms but that doesn’t take away from their beauty. I would love to have black ones outlined in gold – that would be so amazing.
Hard to believe it’s almost September. Time for me to think about bringing up the fall decorations and getting some Halloween cards done for the kids. I don’t know where this year has gone but boy, it has flown by. You have yourself a Super Sunday my friend. Love and hugs, XXO 🙂
Hi Grace!
Yes, I’m very lucky that I get to meet so many creative people! Glad that you like the card too! I love hibiscus, my mum has the same ones in her yard! Wouldn’t it be fun to have some funky colored flowers like this on win garden?!
I don’t know where the time goes! I don’t even want to think about the Fall and then the Holidays! Things start early at the store so by the time thanksgiving rolls around I will be over it all! LOL! Hope you enjoyed your weekend! Love and hugs to you! XOXO 🙂
Apple cider donuts, yum. Makes me think of fall, not that I want summer to end but you can see the subtle changes….my vegi garden is starting to go, cooler nights, and shorter days with the shadows changing. Beautiful, yet i hate winter.
Great quick card, love the gold and black. very elegant.
Heading off to downtown Chicago, lunch with my daughter and son and then Bruce Springsteen concert. OMG,I LOVE him and his band!
The donuts were delicious Linda, and yes they make me think of Fall to, bummer! LOL! I know it’s coming, doesn’t mean that I have to like it!
Thanks! It really was pretty fast to make, need some ideas for classes at the store! I hope that you had a fabulous time at your concert! I know that you have been really looking forward to it! Yay! 🙂
