Well, I had a very enjoyable day off! I made sure that I got a little cleaning done. I was going to wash my car but I’m glad that I didn’t, it rained for about an hour in the afternoon. I also made sure that I got a lot of nothing time in too. I think that we all need to just be for a little while every once in a while. I sat outside for a bit in the morning with Daniel, we watched some truck videos on the iPad. I also watched a little TV and ran a few errands last night. Like I said a very nice day! Today I’ll be at The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store getting back in the swing! LOL! Renee is off and will be spending time with her grandkids! Family time is very important, wouldn’t you agree?!
So I was all set to just share the cards from this month’s Card Class at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store but around 10:00PM I had the urge to make a card, it just popped into my head! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool and Picked Raspberry and Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink to create my background on a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card. I made sure that it was dry with my Heat Tool and spattered it with some Hero Arts Unicorn White Ink Spray and Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine and dried it again with the Heat Tool. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My feather is cut from a piece of Vellum with the Spellbinders Feathers Shapeabilities Dies. I used my Versa-Marker to add the vane and sprinkled on some Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder and heat set that. The Eiffel Tower is cut from Gold Mirror Card using the Spellbinders Ooh-La-La Die D-Lites. I adhered the bottom of the feather with Multi-Matte Medium and the Eiffel Tower with 3D Foam Squares. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in more Gold Embossing Powder onto more Vellum. I flagged the right side and tucked it under the Tower. I love the simplicity of the card and the cool background! I’ll add the cards from Class at the end of the post! I hope that you enjoy all of the cards for today! Thank you very much for stopping by today! Have a spectacular Sunday! 🙂

OH my Justin – when I first saw today’s card I thought you had put an actual feather on it. You just know I love that gold mirror card because it really draws your eyes to it. So, this design just “popped” into your mind eh? Obviously you have a very talented “mind” hidden in that head of yours. The card is just plain gorgeous. I love it!
Glad you got to spend some time with Daniel. I bet he really loves that one-on-one time with you. You have yourself a very Special Sunday today. Enjoy your time at the shop. XXOO 🙂

Wish I had ideas “pop” into my head like you do.
Glad you got to spend time with Daniel, is he your nephew? I think I missed your relationship to him, he’s a handsome little fella. Nice cards from your card class. Good idea on the “Joy” card.

Wow! Beautiful card, Justin. I love the background and the gold mirror paper Eiffel Tower with the feather. Using the sprays is interesting too. I’ll have to check into them. The cards from your class are so neat with the different design and technique you teach. I can’t pick a favorite. Have a great day.
