Hmm… sometimes the hardest sentence to write is the first one. There got that out of the way! How is everyone? I’m well, I got a lot accomplished at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store yesterday with a little help from my friend Sue! She came by to keep me company and help me cut for class. I had gotten most of it done in the morning, my new no procrastination rule! The most tedious stuff, the die cutting, is what she helped with! So everything is bagged up and ready for today and tomorrow! I got my Lawn Fawn invoice today so that has shipped and will be here in time for the release next week! Hopefully my Hero order will ship soon too! Can’t wait to play with some of their new Holiday goodies! After I ate dinner last night I came home and finished up my card for today and cleaned a little, put laundry away and watched a little YouTube. Not too shabby for a Wednesday!
My card that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…
Now those are some fun bright colors! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the triangles using the Altenew Sohcahtoa Photopolymer Stamp Set in Versa-Mark onto a piece of Arches 140lb Watercolor Paper and heat embossed them with Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. To color them in I used my Mijello Mission Gold Watercolors. After they dried I cut them out with my Scissors, nice and easy fussy cutting, and adhered them to the card with 3D Foam Squares. My greeting is from the Altenew Super Script Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also heat embossed in Gold onto a piece of Black 110lb. I cut out the friend with the Coordinating Dies and the happy birthday with my Paper Trimmer. They too are adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. A sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins finishes the card. I love the bright but subtle watercolored triangles with the nice bold greeting! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thank you for your visit today! Have a tantalizing Thursday! π

Love those watercoloured triangles Justin – they add a softness to the bold colours and look great with the gold embossing and graphic design. Thanks for playing along with us over at The Paper Players this week!
Thanks so much Joanne! I love that fun stamp set, just triangles, but all different kinds! And I’m loving watercoloring! Hope that you had a fun weekend! π
Oh Justin! What a super cool card. How did you decide on the number of triangles to make and where to place them? AND the sequins are the perfect accent for the triangles. YOU ARE AMAZING! I love this card. I can see it being used for many, many occasions because the design is so versatile. My special feature to pick out would be the word friend with the shadow effect.
So glad you had a nice Wednesday. It’s another beautiful day here in mid coast. The sky is blue and the temperature is low 70’s with no trace of humidity. Perfect put the top down weather. I have kind of a crazy day planned so I need to get off this machine and get busy. I wish for you a Thursday filled with laughter and love. XXOO π
Thank you Grace! I actually made a bunch of triangles and played with the placement for a while! Everything needs some sequins! The Super Script set is so cool! I love the font in it!
I’m so happy that you are enjoying the weather more! I hope that you got all of your stuff done and that you had a great day! Love and hugs! XOXO π
OMG, my heart stopped for a momnt when I read our first line….. i thought, OMG he is burnt out, quitting????? Scared me, LOL.
Love this, love how you used water colors for your colors not carstock.
LOL! Ha! Nope, not just yet Linda!
I really do love the look of watercolor on anything, you can make it so nice and soft! Glad that you enjoyed the card! π
Great watercoloring and use of the challenge color combination. Triangles are different but I like them very much along with the gold embossing and the big “friend” die. Great card. It’s funny how some days are simply more productive than others no matter how hard we try to get as much done as we can. We had some rain last night and today broke the heat wave. Yay!! Relief for a while. I know your classes will be fun. You’ll have to post pics for us.
Thank you HJ! I do love that stamp set and I’m so enjoying the watercolors and that Arches paper is the best! Sometimes there are days where you just feel like doing nothing, I guess we need those too though! Glad that your weather has improved! The classes are always a good time! π
Justin, this is just fabulous! I love the gold embossed watercolored triangles! A perfect graphic card! Such a fabulous way to use my color palette! So happy you joined my challenge at The Paper Players this week! XX
Thank you so much Claire!! I did have a lot of fun with your colors! Hope that you had a great weekend! π
