It was raining here in the morning on the way to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store, not top down weather. π But what a nice day we had. Crop days are always fun and busy! We had a new to stamping person stop by, I love to get to talk to them and give them helpful hints! Another one of my favorite things is when people bring some of their work into shareΒ with me! My friend Elyse brought in this scrapbook page…
I love the page! The torn paper looks like water coming up onto the beach and the embossed chipboard elements are so cool! There is so much texture I just wantΒ to touch it! And, it’s in my favorite colors! Thanks for sharing Elyse! By the time I left to go home it was nice and sunny so I got to have the top down on the way home! There aren’t many top down days left, so sad to see Summer go! I relaxed when I got home, nice end to a fun day! How is your weekend going?
Now on to my craftiness for today! I have another Holiday card to share with you! My card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. The holly is from the Hero Arts Holly Days Stamp & Die Combo. I stamped them in Hero Arts Intense Black onto Arches 140lb Watercolor Paper and used my Mijello Mission Gold Watercolors and a Aquash Waterbrush to color them in. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares. Part of my greeting, from the Hero Arts Joy Stamp & Cut Set, is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a strip of Black 110lb and adhered over the holly with more 3D Foam Squares. The joy is from the same Joy Stamp & Die Set and is die cut from Gold Mirror Card and twice from Ivory 110lb. They are adhered to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and then to the black strip with Multi-Matte Medium. Another piece of holly is then adhered next to the joy. To finish the card I added some Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to the holly berries and some Pretty Pink Posh Gold and Metallic Red Sequins. I love the holly, especially watercolored and the I think the black strip really makes the other elements pop! I hope that you enjoyed my card for today! Thanks for spending some of your Sunday with me! Have an amazing day! π

Thanks Ingrid! Yes, the Holiday’s are fun! π
Wow!! I agree that strip of black really makes everything pop – the sentiment, those gorgeous holly leaves and the sequins (naturally!!!).
Hope you have a great week! I woke up this AM to temps in the low 30’s – BRRR!!! Loving this weather and so glad that fall looks like it is sticking around for good.
Thanks Christy! I do love some black on a card! The Holly Days Set is so nice, the images have a little bit of and old book feel if that makes sense!
My weekend is going well! That’s way too cold! I miss Summer already! Have a nice day! π
Absolutely amazing and beautiful card! I love everything about it. HUGS! Donna π
Thank you so much Donna! Hope you are well! Hugs back to you! π
Ooooh I love the design of your card. Gotta get me some holly! That scrapbook page by Elyse is frame-worthy!
Thanks Carol! I do love that Holly Days Set! Yes, the page from Elyse is gorgeous! π
Phew Justin – I was waiting for you to tell us you fussy cut all that holly! LOL This is just a gorgeous Christmas card and the Wink of Stella is the absolute perfect touch on the berries. Being the traditionalist that I am, I appreciate seeing a Christmas card with both images and colors that are traditional to the season. That makes me happy.
Elyse did a fantastic job on her scrapbook page. I’m not a scrapbooker so I have a question – with all those beautiful embellishments how is it possible to keep them from getting all squished when you close the album? Elyse’s page is magnificent and I’m sure it took many hours to complete. If I had that page I would most likely frame it and hang it on a wall. What a gorgeous piece of art.
I too woke up to very cool temperatures. But, with the sun shining and the leaves turning colors it’s great to wrap up in a light quilt and sit on the front porch enjoying it all. Yeah! This week I will start making soups for the freezer and the house will smell great. When the hubs returns from his trip he will be bringing me apples from my favorite apple orchard and the house will smell like apple pies for days. I’m such a happy camper. Today I’ll be watching the race which is in New Hampshire. Lazy day. Wishing you a Sensational Sunday my friend. Love and hugs, XXOO π
LOL! No, I don’t like fussy cutting that much Grace! Thank you! It’s funny because I prefer non-traditional colors for the Holidays and I have been making one that are red and green! Wonder what happened there?!
Yes, I love Elyse’s page! Unfortunately I can’t answer that question! I would think that a page like that belongs in a frame, just like you! I’ll be sure and let her know!
It’s chilly here this morning, I guess it was bound to happen! LOL! Oh I can get into the smells of Fall for sure! I’ll bet your apple pies are delicious! Glad that you had a good Sunday! Here’s to a great Monday! Loads and hugs to you! XOXO π
This is a stunning card, Justin. I love the bright holly with the black and Gold Mirror Card sentiment, plus the beautiful PPP sequins. Wow!! Elyse is a fantastic scrapbooker. I love her page. Enjoy this sunny Sunday.

Thanks Lynne! Yes, I though the holly had a vintage feel to it too! π
One of my faves Justin! Love the contrasting colors. Just enough gold; love the joy on the black!
