The sun barely peeked it’s head out today, it was a little muggy too. I got some more of my tasks accomplished at The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store yesterday. Angie worked on her layouts and Renee on her card for her all occasions class. After work I had dinner with my Parent’s and then just watched some TV. I think that I have seen the end of Jurassic World about 26 times! LOL! Today I need to get my newsletter finished and ready to go out tomorrow and I have a ton of projects to finish. I want to try and get ahead! π
I do have one more Birthday card to share with you today! It’s from my friend Carolyn in Australia! I love the card, so clever and they are my favorite colors too!
The front!
The inside! Isn’t that so cool?! Thanks Carolyn!! π
The start of theΒ week means a new Mojo Monday sketch…
I had to have a little play with the new Concord & 9th Lace Leaf Stamp Set! My card base is Neenah Solar White 11olb Card Stock. I heat embossed the leaf from the set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto some Solar White 80lb and then used my Mini Ink Blending Tool and Hero Arts Soft Purple, RustΒ and Deep Burgundy Inks to create an emboss-resist. The background is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My panel on the left is also ink blended with Soft Purple and adhered with more Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. A strip of Gold Mirror Card and Candied Yam are flagged and adhered on top of that with 3D Foam Squares. The panel on the right is heat embossed again with White Embossing Powder ontoΒ Vellum and adhered to the card with Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape. I die cut my greeting from more Gold Mirror Card and a piece of Solar White 110lb with the Concord & 9th Grateful Leaf Dies. They are adhered to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. Sequins, why yes! Some Pretty Pink Posh Gold and Tangerine Sequins complete the card! I LOVE that leaf! So detailed and the Hero Arts Inks blended so nicely, especially the Soft Purple on the panel! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Check out the rest of the Team’s inspiration over on the BLOG and let’s see your card in the gallery! Thank you for beginning another week with me! Have a marvelous Monday! π

π
Hi Nancy! Thanks! It’s a great set and the size of the leaf is perfect! Hope you had a great weekend! π
Nice surprise to see the card I sent you. So glad it made it there and glad you like it.
The lacy leaf on your Mojo card also looks fantastic.
Have a great day. π
Love your card Carolyn! Thank you so much for sending it to me!! It arrived on my birthday too! Perfect timing!
Love that leaf!
You have a wonderful day! π
Beautiful card, Justin. I love the lacey leaves, especially the one on vellum cut to match the one on your background. The Gold Mirror Card greeting makes it all pop. Great job. We’re getting some much needed rain this morning. I hope it lasts all day. Take care and have a great Monday.
Thank you HJ! I love that leaf stamp! So detailed and delicate looking! We are also getting rain, not a fan when I’m trying to get to the store and get all of my stuff out of the car! You have a marvelous Monday! π
WOW, WOW, WOW! Absolutely amazing card that Carolyn made for you. Turquoise, black and white is a stunning color combination and the fact that she made the tree a pop up put it over the top. I’ll have to send Carolyn my address and tell her when my birthday is! LOL (just kidding). I do love the card she made for you Justin. You must be pretty dang special!
I love that lacy leaf stamp. I especially love the way you did the overlay on the vellum to be slightly smaller that the width of the leaf – such a cool presentation that, combined with the gold “grateful” die cut, is such an eye catcher. As always, just a gorgeous creation Mr. Genius!
We are still waiting for rain – we need it so badly here. It was supposed to rain all night last night but we barely got a sprinkle. I hate to have to go out on the front lawn yet again to do the rain dance. My neighbors think I’m nuts. LOL You have yourself a Marvelous Monday my friend and thank you for all you do. Love and hugs, XXOO
Yes Grace! Carolyn did an amazing job on my birthday card! All the way from Australia! I’m a lucky guy!
I too love that stamp! They do such a great job of coming up with really different things over at Concord & 9th! Thank you very much!
It rained all day here yesterday! Hopefully it’s on its way to you now! LOL! That would be very funny to see Grace! My Monday was super productive! Hope that your’s was good too! Love and hugs! XOXO π
Hi Justin, what a beautiful card you created. TFS. I absolutely love it. You are so talented.
Hello Ingrid!
Thank you so much! So happy that you like the card! Have a super day! π
So very pretty! I love the classic elegance :>
Thank you Jennifer!! Enjoy the day! π
Love love the card that Carolyn made you for your birthday! You have got to get her to share how she did it! Love today’s card and the best thing about it is, I can see your face in the gold banner!!! lol!!
Thank you Sue! Yes, Carolyn’s card is pretty neat! I’ll see if she will do a post on it! LOL! That Gold Mirror Card really is very Mirror like huh?! Bug hugs my friend! π
Hi Justin! Love this card because the white embossing really makes everything pop! I also love the background you created by blending different colors, it really reminds me of fall. Speaking of which, I want fall temps back and the humidity to go away for good. Thankfully, we did get some much needed rain this AM – could have used more, but I’m not going to complain.
Hello Christy!
Thank you! I love to do a little ink blending over white embossing! The Hero Inks blended so nicely! I’m still not ready to part with Summer just yet! I would have gladly sent you our entire day of rain! LOL! Hope you have a less humid day today! π
That lace leave is beautiful, just like this card. Take care
Thanks so much Linda! π
OMG… I just read your response from yesterday. LOL, the Neat and Tangled stamp is the one I considered but it was sold out.And after seeing the SS card kit I no longer want it. Yep, I liked the Altnew release but everyone has leaves
they are nothng special like this lacey leaf. How much is the set?
LOL, I bet you are more organized then you give yourself credit for.
We are definitely on the same page with our crafty stuff Linda! I didn’t get this month’s Kit either, not exciting at all. I have the leaves from Hero and like them much better!
The Lace Leaf Stamps are $17.95 and the Dies are $13.95 less 10% because you are a blog peep!!
Hope you like the picture I posted for you today! π
Positively gorgeous! Love how that vellum overlay just sets off the leaf below.
