I woke up super late again yesterday! Like 9:15 late! But I guess sometimes my body knows better and I just need to rest a bit more. I did manage to make it to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store at about 10:10, not too bad. It was a beautiful day, we had the door open to let in some fresh air and I got some more of my projects finished. Renee and Angie worked on layouts and some people came by to make their monthly memories pages. Once I got home I had dinner with my Parents and then watched some TV before having a crafty end to my day! Today, well, lots more projects to get finished! Love my job! π
What’s the best wayΒ to start off a new week?! Why, with another Mojo Monday sketch…
I love when you can make a card with just one stamp and die set! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a piece of Doodlebug Here Comes Santa Clause Paper to the lower half and then added a strip of Hunter Green across the top. TheΒ circle is cut from a piece of Ballerina Pink with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies. I heat embossed the snowflakes form the Hero Arts Kelly’s S’Mitten Stamp & Cut with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto the circle and some Hunter Green and Lemon Lime using the Coordinating Frame Cuts to cut them out. The circle is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner and the snowflakes with 3D Foam Squares. My hat and mittens are from the same set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and also adhered them to the circle with 3D Foam Squares. The tag is made from more Lemon Lime and heat embossed with a greeting from the set. A Black & White Baker’s Twine Bow is adhered with Multi-Matte Medium and then the tag is adhere with more 3D Foam Squares. There just had to be some sequins so I choose Lime Sorbet, Cornflower, Raspberry and Pink Blush to pull out some of the colors from the patterned paper. I think that this is a fun little stamp and cut set and I love the way the patterned paper adds to the images! I have a bone to pick with your, Justin! Just because you’re not driving with the top down everyday, must you be reminding us with your stamp choices that winter and Christmas are right around the corner? Lol! In all seriousness, I love this card. Your pink embossed circle looks like another piece of pattern paper and complements the Doodlebug paper perfectly! If winter is this pretty, bring it on!
Ha ha ha! You are too funny Linda! Believe me, I don’t want Winter to come at all! Glad that you like the card! It’s a fun little set! The Doodlebug Paper just seemed perfect! Thank you very much!! Have a fantastic day my friend! π
Oh, cute, cute, cute card. I like all the little layers and pieces. Happy Winter . . . not too much. Ha. Ha. The winter that is, not the stamp.
π
Thanks Nancy! Yes, I am not happy about Winter either! π
Such a fun card. Love all those colorful snowflakes.
Thanks very much Julee! Have a fun week! π
This is such a fun design for the cap and mittens, plus all the beautiful snowflakes. Love the patterned paper and all the elements together are perfect. Great job. I hope your week is off to a good start. I have a fun, busy week ahead with two dinners with friends and my weekly coloring class. What more can a gal ask for, right? Sending crafty hugs your way.
Thank you so much HJ! It’s a fun little stamp set! My week is off to a very good start! Sounds like you are going to have a great week! Big hugs back to you! π
Good Afternoon Justin!
No, I didn’t oversleep! I met my brother and sister-in-law from Rochester, NY for breakfast at a local hotel for breakfast and then ran errands all day.
I really love those snowflakes and putting them on the DSP with foam squares really makes them outstanding. I would never have believed that pink could make a good winter card but, yet again, you proved me wrong. This card is just plain fun and the stamp set is super. I have pretty much fallen in love with Hero Arts sets. I so prefer the photopolymer stamps and having them combined with dies really makes them easy to feature on a card. Great job my friend.
You have yourself a lovely Monday evening and a great day tomorrow. I’d say don’t work too hard but heck, having a stamp store has to be a lot more fun then working for someone else. LOL Love and hugs to you. XXOO π
Hello Grace!
LOL! No, I oversleep! A lot lately! That sounds like a very nice way to start your day!
You know how I love to use any color other than what you would think to use for a holiday card! The colors make it a little more fun I think too! I love my Photopolymer Stamps too and the Dies are just awesome!
I had a very nice and productive Monday! Hoping today will be more of the same! Yes, the Store is much more fun that anything else I have done! Lover and hugs back to you! XOXO π
Absolutely adore the snowflakes and this color combination!
Thank you Christine! π
So cute! I love mittens, however I dread winter! Sometimes sleeping in is very healthy, LOL Coming from a person who hates mornings!
Thank Linda! I too am dreading Winter! I miss the Summer already! I don’t know why I keep sleeping late! I used to love mornings and now I can’t seem to get out of my comfy bed! π
Your card is so adorable, the color is so vibrant and playful, I really think you captured the sketch moment here.
Thank you PJ! I do love Holiday cards that aren’t red and green! π
