Remember when I said yesterday that I was going to be one tired boy today… I was right! LOL! I didn’t get much accomplished at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. Renee and I had our friend Evelyn stop by to work on a project and Taylor came by to see me again. After work I came home and waited for my Parent’s to get back from the closing on my Grandmother’s house in Pennsylvania. We had dinner and then I came home and watched TV. I was too tired to do anything else! Today I feel much better and will continue to work on getting some more projects finished. ๐
Thankfully I worked ahead and have a card to share with you today that is for this week’s Paper Player Sketch Challenge…
My card base is Ivory 110lb Card stock. I took a piece of Shale and inked the edges with some Hero Arts Navy Ink and a mini Ink Blending Tool. Down the right is a piece of Authentique Strong Collection 12×12 Paper. My little buildingsย are from the Hero Arts Kelly’s It’s Christmas Time Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed it with Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder onto a piece of Navy that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Dotted Circles Stackables Lawn Cuts. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I stamped my greeting from the Hero Arts Kelly’s Warm & Cozy Photopolymer Stamp Set in Navy, flagged the ends and inked the edges. It too is adhered to the circle with more Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. To complete the card itย just needed some sparkle so I added a few Little Things by Lucy Nautical Mix Sequins and Rhinestones! And to think that this card all started because I wanted to use the Crossword Paper! I also happen to love that little set of buildings! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Sketch Challenge! I appreciate you coming by today! Have an amazing Thursday! ๐

Super, duper card this morning Justin. I absolutely love the building and the crossword puzzle paper is fabulous! I bet this card was lots of fun to make. Perfect placement for the double flagged greeting and just enough “sparkle” with the embossing powder and sequins. A card fit for the noble family living in that gorgeous house for sure! LOL
Glad to hear you are feeling rested. I hope your Mom didn’t have to cook dinner after driving back from PA. I know when I travel I am pretty determined NOT to have to cook when I arrive home. Unfortunately we don’t have take out around here so it’s jump back into the car and drive to a restaurant but it still beats the heck out of cleaning up after supper.
How about showcasing today’s stamp sets so we can get a look at them? I really do love that house. Big hugs to you my friend. Love ya, XXOO
Thank you so much Grace! I thought that crossword paper was pretty cool! It was a lot of fun to put together! Not too complicated! Love those houses!
No, we had leftovers. They were tired, it’s not easy going there and back, three hours each way! We have take-out everywhere around here! Although I would rather sit down in a restaurant and eat!
I’ll send you pics of them both! Love you! XOXO ๐
Hi Justin,
I love that little set of buildings too!! Such a cute card!
Here Gerri!
Thanks! It’s a itty bitty stamp set and the buildings are my fave in it! ๐
This is a great card, Justin. I love the crossword paper…who would have thought of using that??? The embossed building and banner with the sequins. Just perfect! Glad you are feeling better today. It’s raining here. I have a big event tonight, so I hope it stops so we don’t get too wet. Take care.
Thank you HJ! Yes, that crossword paper is cool! Love the building too! It rained here all day yesterday. I hope that you stayed dry for your event and that you had a great time! ๐
Cute!!! Love the crossword paper. I’m draging also, mine is lack of sleep. Need to hit the pillows soon. I’m so glad tomorrow is Friday
Thans Linda! I woke up at 9:00 this morning! Yikes! Hope that you have a good day and get some rest! ๐
Great card, I may case it a bit – I t has inspired me to use with my NYC skyline stamp!
Thank you Donna! Love anything with a skyline on it! ๐
Fantastic card, Justin!! I love the use of the crossword paper and the sentiment you used. So perfect for the past few days we have had with the rawness and dreariness At least the sun was shining today, even if it was blustery.
Hope all is well with you! Sorry I haven’t been by lately – things have been super busy with work & travel so I’ve fallen way behind in catching up on my fave sites. ๐
Thanks so much Christy! Yes, I have take to reading again! It has been chilly here and I miss the Summer!
Everything is good here! Travel is fun, I’m glad that you are getting to do some! Thanks for dropping by! Have a great weekend! ๐
