Joyful Forest Deer

And how are all of you today?! I’m doing pretty well! I had a nice day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store, got a few things accomplished and my friend Sue surprised me with a visit! Surprise drop-ins at the Store are always fun! Renee left early to spend some time with her grandkids and I ended up getting to speak to Michael for a bit before I headed home. My Mum had my dinner ready for me, I’m a little spoiled I know, when I did get home! After dinner I spent some time with my Parents and then Sue stopped by my house to pick up some things that she ordered. Twice in one day! Woo hoo! After Sue left I straightened up around the house and then ran to the bank, gas station and Target. Today I want to continue to get ahead of my projects and there is a crop so I’ll get to see all of the ladies! 😀

I have a simple Holiday card to share with you that I made the other day. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took a few of the greetings from the Hero Arts Holiday Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set and mounted them to an acrylic block and then stamped them going from upper left to lower right in Hero Arts Soft Brown Ink. Around the left side I tied a piece of May Arts Natural Twine in a bow at the top and then adhered the panel to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. Next up is a piece of Solar White 80lb that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Dotted Squares Stackables Lawn Cuts. The images are from the Hero Arts Vintage Christmas Wishes Stamp & Die Combo, I stamped the trees in Green Fields and the deer in Cup O Joe and then adhered the square to the card with more Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Christmas Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Lemon Lime that is then adhered to the card with still more Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Just a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and the card is done! See, not too complicated and I really just wanted to stamp! I hope that you enjoyed my card for today!   1. Oh Justin – what a perfect Christmas card to be sent from a little log cabin in the woods (Gee, why would I ever day THAT?)! I really love the mini trees and deer. Just the perfect size for that lawn cut. This card is not only pleasing to the eye but carries the message for Christmas which is Joy! I love it.

    Yup, you are a little spoiled but if you were my son you would be even more spoiled. I would allow you to cook for me and shop for me (yes, I’d give you a list and money) and, if you were very, very good I’d even allow you to do housework for me. See how generous I am? LOL All kidding aside you are blessed to have such amazing parents and they are blessed to have such an amazing son. You have yourself a Super Saturday my friend. Love & Hugs, XXOO 🙂

  2. Beautiful, another vintage winner. This kit was awesome! Life is good, I can now read your blog on my laptop, I was beginning to suffer withdrawal symptoms from not getting a full view of “jk cards” I took your advice and cleared the browser.

    OMG! Gorgeous here!!!!! 70 and sunny! I spent the morning at a craft show in an historic section of Geenview, Il. 5 beautiful historic homes, located in a nature preserve area. Still a bit early for me to “FEEL” Christmas, but just to walk outside on the trails today was perfect. of course I did some damage, but not much.
