It was actually a nice sunny day here yesterday. I started to feel a little better in the afternoon and Andrew came over to continue helping me with my little project, getting closer to competing it. We worked on it for about 5 hours. He headed out around 5:30 and then Taylor came by for a bit. I had gotten her one of the Amazon Fire Tablets, it was on sale for $33 how can you go wrong?! It is an early Christmas present and she loved it. I worked on a few crafty projects in the evening and am looking forward to getting back to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store tomorrow! š
It’s the start of a new week and we have a fun simple Mojo Monday sketch for you…
I was digging through some older supplies and found one of my old favorites so I included some on today’s card. My base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Cherry Cobbler. On top of that is that Brushed Silver Metallic Card Stock that I loved so much back in the day! For the main panel I heat embossed the Hero Arts Holiday Florals Bold Print Background onto a piece of Basic Gray in WOW! Rich Play Gold Embossing Powder. I have seen a lot of people using it and I have to agree it’s a nice soft gold! The panel is adhered to another piece of Cherry Cobbler and then that is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. For the greeting I heat embossed a stamp form the Hero Arts Holiday Tags Photopolymer Stamp Set onto more Cherry Cobbler in more Rich Pale Gold Embossing Powder, another image and the greeting are heat embossed onto 48lb Vellum with Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder, I then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. The lager image is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner and the Vellum to that with Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape. I tried a few sequins but it just didn’t need anything else! I do love that Rich Pad Gold and the detail on the Holiday Florals Background! I had forgotten that I had that one! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Don’t forget to stop by the BLOG and see the rest of teammate’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Justin you crack me up with your “way back when”! You are too young to have a “way back when”. LOL You’re not allowed to have a “way back when” until you reach your 70’s! LOL Anywhoooooo – you managed to put together quite a combination today. That Hero Arts background stamp done in the gold is just spectacular.
Thank you for sending the sunshiny weather my way for today. Yesterday was so drab and dreary it drained the energy right out of me but the sunshine today has me full of get up and go – as a result, I’m going to get up from this computer and go do some more Christmas decorating. Have yourself a Marvelous Monday. Love and hugs to you, XXOO š
Ha ha ha! Well, to me things seem to move so quickly sometimes I feel like I’m 70! But yes, I guess you are right, too early to have a way back when! LOL!
I’m glad that you got the sunshine I sent! It’s rainy and dreary here today and will be like this for the next two days. Hope that you made a dent in your decorating! Love and hugs to you! XOXO š
I was surprised to find you not at the store yesterday when I stopped by! Glad you are feeling better!
Oh no! I’m so mad that I missed you! Your goodies are in the hold bin!! Ugh! š
gorgeous. LOL, as I was cleaning my room the other day and trying to organize I found a stamp set that is just a few years old, LOL. I still love it, so thats good. One of the first polymer stamps so it is yellowed but stamps beautifully. I got two images stamped and colored with my new Prismacolors, love the set!
Cold, damp, gloomy here with a fine drizzle to heavy rain all day. They say sun and 60 degrees tomorrow
Fingers crossed
Thank you so much Linda! Oh, I love when I find a “surprise” set! LOL! Yes, the yellowing has no effect on how they stamp! Glad that you got to use your pencils!
It’s the same weather here today, I hope that you get your 60 degrees, that means that it will be here shortly after you! š
