When I woke up this morning it was 91 degrees in my apartment, needless to say I had a pretty bad headache! You know it’s warm in the houseΒ when you take a nice hot shower and the mirrors in the bathroom don’t even fog up! I downed some Excedrin and headed to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. Renee had a friend of hers drive up from PA to take a class! She was very nice! Jean also stopped by and worked on some cards and my headache finally subsided by 2:00PM. I did manage to get the last card made for class and also made another one just for fun! When I got home I went and turned the heat off in the apartment, still 91! I should have done it in the morning! I opened all of the windows and by the time I went to bed at 12:30 it was still 82! I need to get the thermostat fixed ASAP! I mean I like it warm but that’s just crazy! Today I need to work on some crafty stuff! Another fun day! π
One of the cards that I made over the weekend is for this week’s Paper Players Tic-Tac-Toe challenge from LeAnne…
I went down the left column! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Down the left side is a piece of American Crafts Black Glitter Tape. On a piece of Solar White 80lb I used the Hero Arts Paper Layering Santa Face with Frame to die cut just face part without the frame. I colored in parts with my Copics and popped up some areas before adhering the panel to a piece of Fun Foam with E-Z Runner and then to the card. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Holiday Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Onyx Black in the lower right and a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins are added for a little extra sparkle! I love that Paper Layering Die, so clever and I think he looks pretty neat all colored in! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Tic-Tac-Toe challenge from LeAnne! Thanks you for stopping by to visit me today! Have an interesting Thursday! π

Thanks so much Nancy! I think that dies is pretty neat! Hope you had fun last night! π
Wow Justin!
What an awesome die!! Love this card!! Great job coloring him.
Hi Gerri!
Thank you! The die is pretty cool and I love my Copics! π
That is the cutest Santa face EVAH! Can you explain what a paper layering die is Justin? I know, I live in a very small town and that means I’m up to date on absolutely (well almost) nothing in the crafting world. So I need to ask these kinds of questions. Sorry.
Get that dang thermostat fixed! I can’t sleep in anything above 65 F without waking up to a pounding headache and I don’t know how you could even sleep at 91 degrees. In addition you are wasting all that energy you are paying for. We don’t need you constantly having a headache, we need our normal happy Justin to delight us with his amazing talents. So there – consider yourself “spoken to”! Now, you know I want only the best for you so as they say in the south “git ‘er done”! LOL
Rainy and cloudy and yukky here today. A good day to play catch up with whatever one has been putting off. I’m so lucky to have many things I have been putting off to choose from (yeah right)! LOL You have yourself a totally terrific Thursday my friend. Love and hugs to you! XXOO π
Thanks Grace! I love that Die, so different! Paper Layering means that it doesn’t cut out the shape, just in places so that you can pop up pieces of it. LOL! I’m happy to answer questions… you know that!!
The thermostat is turned down, I will look into getting someone in to install the new one. I actually don’t pay for heat, I just can’t deal with that though. That’s too hot in the house even for me! It will get done eventually but it’s good for now.
We got lucky and avoided the rain yesterday. I always have a long list of things that I have put off to choose from! Hope you can get a little caught up! Love and hugs to you! XOXO π
Omg. I need to stop following you…..this is too awesome. Love it. I now want this also
I know you want summer back baking in ur apt is not the way to do it. Lol
Im so flipping tired and extayic. Cubs clinched 108 years of history in the making
LOL! Thanks Linda! And I need to get that online store up so you can just click and buy! He he!
No, 91 is too hot in the house! It’s a different kind of heat than 91 outside! It was horrible!
I’m so happy that your Cubs won!! Woo hoo! π
What a fun card, Justin. I love how you colored the Santa and that die is awesome. Glad your headache disappeared. I don’t know how you could sleep with it being 91 degrees in your apt. Good luck on getting the thermostat fixed. Have a wonderful day! Maybe you’ll get to Thirsty Thursday with friends.
Thanks HJ! Yes, it’s a cool die! I got the heat turned down so I should be ok for now. Gotta get that new thermostat put in! Thirsty Thursday was fun! Hope that you had a great day! π
omg – cute as all heck!
Thanks so much Donna! π
Wow, I’ve not seen this die before….Mr Santa is quite dapper and I love that big honkin’ sentiment…works perfectly with him! The strip of black and the sequins are perfect embellishments! Thanks for playing with my tic-tac-toe challenge this week!
I love that Die, so neat! I like a nice honkin’ sentiment, it balances the die quite nicely! Thanks for a great challenge! Have a fun weekend! π
