The weather has definitely taken a chilly turn. I’m not going to lie, I don’t like it! I got up early yesterday morning and managed to have some poached eggs on toast for breakfast before heading out to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. Once there I had a nice productive day! I made a few cards and also put together another kit! It’s up on the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store Web Site if you want to take a look. My aunt Shirley and my uncle Steve FaceTimed me from England yesterday, love getting to speak to them! I also chatted with Andrea and we crafted for bit together. After work my favorite little person was at my Parent’s house! I had dinner with Daniel and then we played with his trains and threw a ball around for a bit. It landed in my Brother’s coffee which I thought was hysterical, he did not! After dinner Taylor stopped by my house and we ran to Target. Today I need to work on some more kits and tomorrow I think I will take a trip into Manhattan! π
Oh, before I forget I will have a second post today at 11:00AM for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge Blog! Make sure that you come back for that one, it’s a nice sparkly wintry card with a twist!
It’s time once again for a Fab Friday challenge, our last one of the year, and this time we have some timely colors for you…
I got to use a new stamp set that I got in my Pretty Pink Posh order and some dies too! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Chinese Red. I used the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Tabs Dies to cut out three piece of Kraft to look like file folders. Next I stamped some images from the Pretty Pink Posh Winter Friends Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them in with Copics. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I stamped the happy holidays onto the tabs with Memento Tuxedo Black and then adhered the “file folders” to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. The little critters are adhered with 3D Foam Squares and I added someΒ Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen to the hats and antlers (you can’t really see it in the picture but it looks neat in person!). The bottom panel looked a little naked so I stamped the snowflakes from the set in Hero Arts Unicorn Pigment Ink randomly. To finish the card I had to add some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins! I think that the little critters peeking over to tops of the file folders are so cute and I love the Stitched Tabs Dies! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out what the rest of the team did and enter your creation in the Gallery! Thanks so much for stopping by this morning! Don’t forget to come back at 11:00AM for my second post for today! Until then have a nice Friday! π

Justin,
The file folder idea is adorable!! I love the little critters peeking form behind. Love it!
I’m not a fan of the cold either. Although, I prefer it to temps in the 90’s. Tonight we are going to a Holiday Light Show in Great Adventure with friends. Should be fun but it means a lot of walking in the cold, cold weather. Brrrr
Hi Gerri!
Thank you! I love the stitched tabs and the critters are really cute!
I’m with you! I hate the cold! Sounds like a fun time but you better bundle up! π
First, Justin, don’t you know about the “NO Ball Playing in the House” rule?;) No wonder you are Daniel’s favorite person! When he’s with you , he gets to break the rules and, I’m guessing, nobody gets mad at him because he rates high on the Cuteness Scale and/or Uncle Justin should know better! Lol! I could only imagine the look on your brother’s face! Hope he celebrated the terrific skill it took to get that ball in the cup. You have the makings of a future NBA star or, at the very least, College Beer Pong Champion on your hands!
I love today’s card! What a clever design and use of the PPP dies! I wish those cute critters were peaking out from the Annual Report files piled on my desk! And, I see you “found” your sequins! They look great on this card.
Have a great day and stay warm! Is it spring yet?
Well, Daniel does get away with a lot thanks to the cuteness factor! And he knows it which is bad! LOL! My Brother’s face was priceless! I immediately said no yelling in the house! LOL! I’m hoping for NBA, not a beer pong fan!
I’m happy that you like my little file folder card! Yes, I would like them to be peeking out of my files too! I missed my sequins, they missed me too!
I’m freezing! I have my coat on! Spring can’t come fast enough! π
Oh M Geeeee how freaking cute are they! I need those and I love the files too
Thanks Pam! They are really cut and I love those dies! Have a fun day! π
that is just the cutest
Thanks Donna! π
OH Justin – this card is THE BEST! It rates 55 on a scale of 1 to 10! Those little critters are just to cute and the layers of index cards – well, at first site I thought it was a file to keep your cards in. I just LOVE it! How the heck did you ever come up with that idea! Glad to see you didn’t lose your sequins, they make great snowflakes. Every day I tell you “this is the best Christmas card ever” and then the next day you make one even better. I’m running out of adjectives!
I’m surprised your Mum didn’t give you a little smack on the back of the head for playing ball in the house! You do know this one is all on you and Daniel walks away clean. I bet he’s thinking – ah, got uncle Justin this time! LOL
Hopefully your parking lot is all paved and ready to be used and that people are working on fixing the roof. What a pain.
Have a great day in Manhattan tomorrow. I hope it’s not too cold. Are you going to go window shopping on the Avenue or just go sight seeing or just go visit friends. Wherever – be sure to take some photos to share with us please. You have yourself a Fantastic Friday my friend. Love and hugs to you! XXOO π
Thank you Grace! LOL! I guess that I could turn them into files to separate your cards, that actually a great idea! I missed my sequins! I’m lucky that I can still make you run out of words!!
He he! Daniel’s cuteness gets both of us out of trouble! LOL! Daniel knows that he is adorable and uses it to his advantage!
I am really looking forward to being in the city! I miss it so much! For some reason I don’t mind the cold in the city, guess because I’m always walking! I’m going to see some friends and then down to visit Anna! I will try to remember the pictures! Hope that you have a great day! Love and hugs to you! XOXO π
so cute, love the little critters peeking out of the files, very different card, love it. We walked the dog in -18C weather this morning, snow is squeaky it is so cold, but bundled up and walking a good pace warms you up. You need to post a few pics of Daniel and your niece, to catch us up!
Thank you Lynne! I love those File Tabs! ONG! That’s way too cold! Poor dog and you! I would have had to run! I will find some Daniel and Tristan pics to post! π
This card is sp flippin cute!!!!!! I have file tab dies, yep never used them, and never would have thougt about this. Just precious.
OMG, I cant stop laughing about the ball in your brothers coffee. I think it is hysterical!
Spent the day out a a Kris Kringel market. Its an outdoor German Christmas market. Lots of cool things and beautiful glass ornaments. Last year I went to the one downtown, this year I tried the one in historic Naperville. Awesome time, spent way too much money, and o got my souvenir boot mug.
Trying to enjoy the outside while I can, its cold but sunny. We are expecting 10 flippin inches of snow Saturday into Sunday. I coud cry……
Thank you so much Linda! Now you have an idea for those file tabs!! The ball in my Brother’s coffee was hysterical! Daniel and I looked at each other and giggled immediately!
I so wanted to go to the Union Square Christmas Market but I didn’t leave myself enough time! I love glass ornaments!! It’s so nice to go to these outdoor shops that they set up! We have ones in Bryant Park too, need to go there! Oh, souvenir boot mug huh?!
I’m sorry, but better you than me with the snow! We are supposed to have a mess tomorrow! FUN! π
