Crop days are always lots of fun at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store and Scrap-A-Latte! I love getting to see everyone! Linda, Lisette and Susan were all working on their Holiday cards! I managed to get two cards made as well! Have I mentioned the randomly flat tire that I get on my car from time to time? Well, my Dad took the tire and got it fixed yesterday morning! It turns out that there was a nail in it since probably about two weeks after I got the tires last year! Crazy that it didn’t go flat all of the time but it’s fixed now! After work I stopped by Heather’s, she was going to the Fire Department Christmas Party with Geroge and needed a little outfit advice! From there I went to my Parent’s to have dinner with them and Taylor and after that I made the mistake of turning on the TV and got sucked into two movies! I had stuff to do but today is always a good time to get that done! LOL! It’s also day two of the Crop, another fun day! π
One of the cards that I worked on yesterday is whatΒ I have to share with you today! The base is Neenah Solar White 100lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Tropical Sea. I stamped the mittens from the Hero Arts Holiday Mittens Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black onto some Solar White 80lb using my MISTI. Next I took the snowflakes and stamped them in Tide Pool to fill in the empty spaces around the mittens and adhered the panel to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The mittens are then heat embossed onto another piece of Tropical Sea with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder, the string onto some Chinese Red, I die cut the one on the right along with the string and cut the one out on the left with my Scissors. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Little Messages Stamp & Cut Set and is also heat embossed in White onto Chinese Red. The mittens, string and greeting are then adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares and a sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins completes the card! I was originally going to color in the mittens which is why I stamped them in Black but changed my mind and opted to make the Tropical Sea ones the focal point instead! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! Thank you so much for stopping but today! Have a simple Sunday! π

Great card, Justin. I love the Tide Pool color and how you stamped the mittens and snowflakes for the background with the cut out mittens. The greeting is perfect. Glad your dad got your tire fixed. Have a wonderful Sunday.
Thank you so much HJ! I love that Tide Pool color, one of my faves! I’m so happy that I don’t have to worry about the tire anymore!! Hope that you have a fabulous day! π
AH-dorable! Teal and red is one of my favorite color combos! But what your friends really want to know is….which movies??? π
Thank you Ann! One of my favorite color combos too! I watched The Aviator and The Danish Girl, which made me cry! π
I love mittens, I love turquoise and I love snowflakes! Therefore – draw your own conclusions as to how much I love this card! LOL I mean really is this card just too pretty or what! I especially love the design on the mitten stamp. I bet this card was really fun to make. Maybe the reason I went a little gaga over this card is that we had snow yesterday. Not enough in this area to have to shovel but enough to allow me to really enjoy turning on all our Christmas lights and having homemade soup for supper. Now it would have been my idea of an absolutely perfect evening if I had made some cookies for dessert. Oh well, I hadn’t anticipated the snow so no cookies.
Justin – I am so glad you got your tire fixed and can’t believe you waited this long to discover there was a nail in the tire. LOL I”m also glad that you aren’t having to listen to rain drops going into a bucket all day. That would make me nutsy also. I too played hooky from what I was supposed to be doing last night and watched a movie. I watched The Boy in the Striped Pajamas and yes, it made me cry also. I hope you have a spectacular Sunday my friend – Tis the season! Love & Hugs, XXOO π
I’m so glad that you like the card Grace!! I too love the mittens, nice detail on them! I’m so happy that you got some snow and just for the record, you can have all of it this winter! LOL! I would think that you would always have some cookies on hand! π
Sometimes I just can’t get out of my own way, I’m happy that the tore is fixed! Unfortunately we had rain last night so the dripping is back. I love watching a movie, I get lost in it and forget about everything for a few hours! I have been wanting to watch that one, it’s on my list. I hope that you enjoyed the rest of your weekend! Love and hugs to you! XOXO π
Aww, I love the mittens!!
Thanks Gerri! π
Love this!!!! Especiall the colors you chose. Black goes so well with everything!
OMG, You would be needing these mittens if you lived in Chicagoland. We left MIchigan today in cold but beautiful weather, hit Indiana with clouds bt still nice. Crossed the Illinois border and BLIZZARD!!! It amazes me that Michigan has no snow what so ever and we are nailed. Over 5 inches and still coming down. I’m grateful we got home safe, other than that I wil say the trees are pretty. the rest……can melt
Thank you Linda! I wasn’t sure about the black at first but I do like the way it looks with everything else, almost like they are waiting for color!
Oh no! It’s way too early for a blizzard! Yikes! I guess that’s what they call lake effect snow? I’m glad that you got home safely! I don’t even enjoy it on the trees! LOL! π
