I thought that I was going to have a nice relaxing Saturday but then things got busy! I ended up taking a trip into Manhattan to see my friends Jim and Diane and then I ran down to The Ink Pad to see Anna. By the time I got back to Penn Station it was 7:00. I got a text from my friend Chantal telling me that she was at my friend Carol’s out in Babylon for her annual Kentucky Derby Party and would I stop by. I haven’t see Carol in over two years so I took a ride out there. It was so good to catch up! I got home around 10:00 and sat down to make a quick card for today’s post… an hour later and it was finished! LOL! So much for quick! This morning I’m headed up to Nashua New Hampshire with Heather to pick up her new car! Now there is a road trip! π
My “quick” card that I made really didn’t take that long to make, it was deciding what to use that took the time! I settled on one of my all time favorites from W Plus 9! This set has dies that are solid so I always cut out the paper with the Coordinating Dies first and then do my stamping. All of the floral images and greeting are from the W Plus 9 Fresh Cut Florals Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them inΒ Peachy Keen, Lobster, Sunflower, Freshly Cut Grass, Noble Fir, Fresh Lavender, Sugarplum and Black Licorice. The greeting is stamped onto another strip of Solar White 80lb. They are arranged on the card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and then adhered with Dot Runner and 3M Foam Tape. It’s a very simple looking card and that greeting would work for so many different occasions! I hope that you like today’s card! Thank you for checking in and have a simple but fun Sunday! π

What a fresh, lovely card! And well done, you, with solid dies! I always have a tough time stamping after cutting, even with photopolymer! Have a fun trip north! Looks like the day will be sunnier than yesterday. Wave to me when you drive by Massachusetts! π
Thank you Ann! I had a nice Sunday road trip, it was a lot of fun! π
Hi Justin! Long time no visit! π Hope all is well… Even though I haven’t had the chance to stop by in so long, I see that you have still been productive and making beautiful cards. Today is no exception as your card is a stunner! I love these beautiful flowers and the arrangement certainly feels like you could take the flowers off your card and put it on a table. Hopefully, you have clear (and dry) weather for your drive up to NH today. After 2.5 inches of rain over the last 48 hours, I’m hoping for the sun today even if the temps won’t crack 60.
Hey Christy! All is good and I hope that the same is true for you! Glad that you like the card! The road trip was fun and we had nice weather for the most part! π
Beautiful card, Justin. I love the colorful diecut flowers. Have a safe trip to NH today.
Thanks HJ! We had a fun Road Trip! π
Love the colors on these flowers, especially the lilacs. Because of the white space, the colors really do stand out with no distractions. I love white space on a card, especially one as beautiful as this one is.
So, you are off to the “Live Free or Die” state today. That should be a fun trip especially riding back to the Island in Heather’s new car! Is she going to let you drive it? LOL So glad you got to go to the City yesterday even though it was a quick trip. How nice that you got to hook of with friends you haven’t seen in a few years. That’s always fun. Have a Super Sunday and a safe and fun trip. Love & Hugs to you my friend. XXOO π
Thank you Grace! I still love that stamp set and I have had it for a long time!
LOL! We did have fun and if I ever get up that way again I will be sure and pay you a visit! I did get to drive, it’a a really nice car! I do love my little trip into Manhattan! Love and hugs to you! XOXO π
What a lovely spring card. I love your layout of te flowers.
I hope you get some “me” time this weekend” It sounds as if you are enjoying yourself and keeping busy.
Me….hubby finished bookcase and now I’m putting albums back on shelves. this is taking forever, oh well… when its done it will be worth it
Thanks Linda! Love that set!
I have to keep busy, if I stop I’ll get lazy and it’s hard to come back from that!
So glad that you are making progress!! π
I like to make a few cards at once because “thinkinh” what you’ll make I find takes the most time.
I agree Virginia! Sometime the idea takes the most time! π
