Hooray for Friday! The weather was just about perfect here yesterday again, we have been so lucky lately! I had some computer stuff to do in the morning and so I took the laptop and sat outside. I squeezed in a little cleaning and a few other household things in the afternoon. After dinner I headed over to Heather’s for Thirsty Thursday. We had a few errands to run and met Stephanie at Target before heading back to Heather’s. George spent some time with us when he got home, we always have so much fun! Today I have some more computer stuff to do, hopefully outside again! 😀
It’s a Fab Friday week and we have some nice bright colors for you…
I pulled out the Hero Arts Color Layering Flamingo Set, haven’t used that one in a while, and made a one layer card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Across the bottom I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add some Soft Pool. The card is then placed in my Mini MISTI for the rest of the stamping. The flamingo is stamped in Soft Pink for the first layer and then Ultra Pink for the second and third. I stamped the legs, beak and greeting in Soft Granite. The grass is stamped in Lime Green with the water ripples added around them in Tide Pool. I added a little Black Glaze Pen to the eye and a few Pretty Pink Posh Ballerina Pink and Sparkling Clear Sequins and the card is done! I do love a one layer card and the sequins again come in handy for filling in some of the space around the image! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG to see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter your take on the colors in the gallery! Thanks for coming by and checking in with me today! Have a fabulous Friday! 🙂

What a great take on the challenge colors. They make a really pretty card, Justin. It was a nice day here as well. Hubby and I ran to the mall late afternoon for a few things, then had dinner there and returned home just as it was beginning to rain. Great timing! Have a wonderful weekend, my friend.
Thanks HJ! Glad that you had such a nice day and got home just in time! Hope your weekend was great too! 🙂
Aww, love the flamingo card!!!
Thank you Gerri! 🙂
Hi Justin:
Now that’s a card for my daughter Tracy if ever there was one. She loves flamingos and her office is covered with them. That was a tough color combination to work with but you nailed it with this card. I just love it. Hot and humid here today and we are hoping for some rain soon. Our lawn needs to be hayed rather then mowed. Everything on the ground has turned brown. Today is housework day (oh joy – NOT) but you gotta do what you gotta do. You have yourself a Fantastic Friday my friend. Love & Hugs to you. XXOO 🙂
Hey Grace!
I love that flamingo stamp, so fun! Send your hot and humid here, I’ll gladly take it! LOL! Hayed, that’s a good one! I hate the housework days too, but yes, it needs to be done. Hope you had a god day! Love and hugs! XOXO 🙂
