Another fabulous day! I actually ended up having a lot of stuff to do yesterday! I forgot that my car was supposed to be inspected at the end of July so I got that done… oops! I also had a few projects that I helped Jim with, keeps my mind sharp! He came by after work and we watched a movie and just relaxed. What a nice way to end a Tuesday! 😀
We are mid-week so it’s time for a new Paper Craft Crew challenge…
I can’t believe it but I couldn’t find anything more backyard BBQ than flowers! LOL! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add Jellybean to the bottom and Surf Blue to the top. To mask off the areas I used a piece of Post-it Tape. My flowers are from the Simon Says Stamp Artful Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set. I atamped the flowers in Black for the outline and added the centers with Duckling. My stems are stamped in Jellybean and they are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies. The stems are adhered with Multi-Matte Medium and the flowers with 3M Foam Tape. My greeting is cut from a piece of Gold Glitter Card Stock and Black 110lb with the Simon Says Stamp Painted Summer Die. I used Multi-Purpose Spray to adhere them to each other and the card. A few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins fill in some of the space around the flowers and the card is done! I do love a nice simple crisp card, I think this one fits the bill! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for visiting! I can’t believe you don’t have hot dog stamps! LOL I mean really Justin, you have just about every stamp ever made I think! LOL Anyway, when we have a barbecue I always have a centerpiece of flowers so I think you are right on the money here. Even though you and your guests are eating on the deck or patio, you still want it to look inviting. The flower stamps you used look like they could be pretty versatile to me. Glad you had a great day yesterday. It was hot and muggy by mid afternoon here so I was glad to get home to the A/C because we keep it comfortable – not like the dang grocery store that tries to freeze you to death while you shop. Love & Hugs to you my friend and wishing you a Whimsical Wednesday. XXOO 🙂
LOL! I have gotten rid of so many stamp sets that just sit there most of the time Grace! I’m sure that I did have one at one time! I thought of the same thing that you did! Just kept it outdoorsy! I’m so loving this Summer, we have had some great weather and I will miss it so much once it’s gone! Yes, they do keep the grocery stores pretty cool, gives you a taste of fall every time you go in! LOL! Love and hugs to you! XOXO 🙂
You really have no food or bug stamps. You have everything, LOL. Oh well, flowers work with the theme. and your card is gorgeous.
So glad it’s hump day, mentally exhausting at work
I’m sure that I did but the purge has left me with less Linda! Glad that you like the card!
I’m sure that it is exhausting, the weeks are moving so fast though! 😉
Justin, I agree with Grace and Linda in thinking you have every stamp!! Too funny!! I love this card with the clean, crisp look of the flowers and the painted background. Definitely passes my test for Backyard BBQ, Hope you had a great day today!
Nope HJ, I have been very good getting rid of things that I no longer use! Feels good to purge! Glad that you like the card! Hope you had a great week! 🙂
