SIP Challenge 109 – A Sketch!

It was a rainy Monday morning here but it did stop right at 1:00PM just like they said it would! That never happens! LOL! I got all caught up on my comments and went through more of the Stampin’ Galley overabundance in the morning and then went over to see Daniel at my Parent’s house. He is still just the cutest little boy! After dinner we watched PJ Masks together and then I came home and spent a little time with Taylor. Jim stopped by a little later and we watched TV and planned out next DIY project. Can’t wait to get started on that! I’ll be sure an post pictures when we are done! I think that Andrew is going to come by for a while today, will be good to see him! 😀

It’s Tuesday and time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

Today’s card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Concord & 9th Flower Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp with Pool Party Card Stock and Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder to create a panel. It’s backed with a piece of Desert Storm 80lb and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th Wonderful Words Dies and is cut from a piece of American Crafts Gold Glitter Card. To adhere it to the card I used Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. A few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins fill in some of the space on the embossed panel and the card is done! I think that this would make a nice elegant wedding card, especially with the Tiffany colors! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Sketch Challenge! Go on over to the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks for coming by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

Fab Friday 117

And it’s Friday! Did the week move a little on the slow side or is it just me?! I did complete my trifecta of productive days! I also ran a few errands and mailed out some packages. Jim came by around 5:00 and we watched a little TV and then went to Friday’s for dinner. I have a lot of rewards points so it was a cheap dinner to boot! LOL! I also stopped by Heather’s and saw her and Stephanie for a bit before coming home and calling it a night. I think we are supposed to get some rain today, the end of the perfect weather. But it will be just one day! 😀

It’s a Fab Friday week and we have a sketch for you this time…

My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the Concord & 9th Barnwood Background Stamp stamped in Khaki on the front. I used the Simon Says Stamp Nesting Circles Dies to cut out a piece of Solar White 80lb and stamped the images from the Concord & 9th Orange You Sweet Photopolymer Stamp Set in Catkin and Khaki Ink. I stamped a singe one and cut that out with the Coordinating Orange You Sweet Dies. My greeting is from the same set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a strip of Black 110lb. I adhered the large circle to the card with E-Z Runner Ultra Strong and the single kiwi and greeting with 3D Foam Squares. A nice simple card with my favorite background and a fun greeting! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out what the rest of the Team has to inspire you and let’s see your card in the gallery! Paper Players 352 & Freshly Made Sketches 296

Well, I did get some of the stuff done that I wanted to finish yesterday. I also had to take a ride over to Heather’s job to drop something off to her. When I got back home I went next door to do some laundry and locked myself out of the house! Don’t know how that happened! Around 5:30 I headed over to Heather’s, she made me dinner and we ran some errands. A good way to end the evening! This morning more stuff that needs to get done will get done! 😀

I have a double challenge card for you today! That almost never happens but I wanted to get my Paper Players card in before it was too late and I had an idea for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge so I combined them! Here are the two challenges…

My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the My Favorite Things Romantic Script Background in Smoke Ink onto another piece of Solar White 110lb and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The bird is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Bird and Branch Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped him in Thistle, Hot Mama and Grape Juice, his feet in Khaki, and then used the Coordinating Frame Cuts to cut him out. His feet are adhered with E-Z Runner and the body with 3D Foam Squares. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Black 110lb. It’s adhered in the lower right corner and the card is done! I love that scripty background and the fun bird! I hope that you enjoyed my card for the Paper Players and Freshly Made Sketches Challenges! Thank you for coming by! Have a fantastic Friday! 🙂

OSAT July Blog Hop – Very Vintage!

Another nice sunny day and I managed to be productive again! I got a few things done in the morning and watched a little TV. Jim came by after work and we had Chinese for dinner and watched Maleficent, still love that movie! I also ran over to Heather’s for a bit before calling it a night. Today I have lots more computer related stuff to get done. No TV until it is! LOL! 😀

For my projects today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. If you have arrived here from the clever Jeanna Bohanon’s blog, welcome! This month we have a Vintage Theme! I’m not very good at vintage but I did have a lot of fun making my card!!

I started the card by choosing a piece of paper from the Prima Jodie Lee Butterfly A4 Paper Pad and I used the Tim Holtz Mixed Media #2 Dies to cut out the upper left corner. It is adhered to a piece of Early Espresso with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The butterfly is cut from another piece of paper from the same pad and a piece of Solar White 110lb. I coated the white with Versa-Mark and dipped it into my Hero Arts Copper Embossing Power and heat embossed it. Some more Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive adheres the two butterfly pieces together. My greeting is from the Papertrey Ink Think Big Favorites Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in more Copper onto a piece of 65lb Vellum. I folded the edges around the back of the background and adhered it to a card base Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The butterfly is adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape and just a few Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins complete the card. I do love that paper and the Mixed Media Die along with the butterfly! Makes for a fun card!

I hope that you enjoyed my Father’s Day cards for the OSAT Vintage Blog Hop! You can click on the next button below to go back to the start and see clever Andrea Tracy-Tucker has come up with!! Thank you so much for stopping by to see me today. Have a thoroughly awesome Thursday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 107 – Tic-Tac-Toe!

So, I didn’t turn on the TV in the morning and managed to get a bunch of things done that I needed to finish! I also ran a few errands and then watched a little TV last night. It was nice and sunny so I got in some outside time too! Taylor stopped by for a few minutes just to say hi. Today I’m off to Sue’s to work on some Etsy stuff! Another productive day is ahead! 😀

It’s Tuesday and time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

The card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For my background I used the Stampin’ Up! Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and a piece of Smoky Slate. Next up is another piece of Solar White 110lb cut out with the Lawn Fawn Say Cheese Lawn Cut. I stamped the greeting from the W Plus 9 Fanciful Feathers Photopolymer Stamp Set in Navy along the bottom of the frame. It’s adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. My feathers are also from the Fanciful Feathers Set. I heat embossed them onto die cut Cobalt Vellum in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder. A Wooden Button with some Grey Twine tied into a bow is adhered over the Feather and helps hold them to the frame. To give the card some more interest and a little sparkle I added some Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold and Pewter Sequins and a few Studio Calico Wood Veneer Stars! I love the feathers in the copper on the cobalt vellum and I’m glad that I remembered that I had that Stampin’ Up! Embossing Folder! Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Embossing!

Well, that was a nice Saturday! I got a few cards made in the morning and then in afternoon I headed over to my Brother’s for Tristan’s Birthday party. Lots of family and friends and of course my little Daniel. He rode all around the backyard in his Ford F-150 driving it like he’s had his license for years! LOL! Tristan was happy like she always is and wanted to be with me most of the time! She is starting to talk and will be walking very soon! I’ll share some pictures when my Brother posts them. I got to play photographer yesterday so I didn’t take any with my iPhone. This morning I think I’m going to try and tackle my top on my car. It leaked fluid out of the front and I can’t put it down anymore. My only source of happiness! LOL! 😀

Today I have the pleasure of sharing my card with you for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge

I do love some heat embossing and that’s all I did! To create my background I used the Concord & 9th Oh Hello Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp with my MISTI. For each turn I stamped in Versa-Mark and heat embossed with Hero Arts Gold, Brass, Platinum and Copper Embossing Powder. It’s then trimmed to 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″. My main greeting, also from the same stamp set is heat embossed in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder onto a piece of 65lb Vellum. I folded the edges around the background and adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Just three Pretty Pink Posh Silver, Gold and Rose Gold Sequins finish the card! I do love all of the metallics with the Oh Hello Turnabout, makes for a fun and interesting background! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Embossing Challenge! We hope that you will play along with us and enter your card in the gallery over on the BLOG! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! Snowy Summer Mountains

Hello and a happy Saturday to you! It rained a little here yesterday and was sunny too, just couldn’t make up it’s mind! I managed to get some crafting done in the morning and then had dinner with my Parents. Taylor came by again, I guess she really does like spending time with me, I must be a cool dad! LOL! We ran some errands and talked for a while. Today is Tristan’s first birthday party! I’ll be sure and get some pictures, even I have to steal them off of the shared album! Should be a fun time! 😀

I was missing the lake this weekend and somehow this card came out of that! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Marina Mist. I used the Hero Arts Snowy Drifts Fancy Dies to cut out two pieces of Garden Green. To give them a little more definition I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add some Pine Needles Distress Ink to the tops. I then heat embossed my greeting from the Hero Arts You’re So Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The two pieces are then adhered to the card. That lovely frame is cut from a piece of Desert Storm 80lb with the Hero Arts Floral Border with Frame Die and is adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. I love when you can use a winter set to make a nice summery card! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! I thank you for visiting and wish you a superb Saturday! 🙂

Golden Hugs – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th

Hi all! I hope that you had a happy and safe Independence Day! I started my day yesterday by picking up my friend Chantal and heading over to Long Beach. Her Granddaughter takes surfing lessons so we went to watch. While we were there we saw a whole bunch of Dolphins in the water just off the beach. Who knew that we had Dolphins in the waters here?! You can see the kids in the water…

Before heading back Chantal and I had a nice brunch at a local restaurant. It was great to get to spend some time with her! I dropped her off and then stopped by my house before heading over to Stephanie’s for a BBQ. There were a bunch of my peeps there and we had a really nice time! Today I have some crafting to do and a lot of cleaning. 😀

It’s time for my Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! You can also see this post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog at 11:00AM today. Be sure and stop by there too! I did another card with a bunch of layers! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black 110lb. I used the Concord & 9th Select-A-Size Edge Dies to cut a piece of Lobster and Gold Mirror Card. On the Lobster I heat embossed the hugs from the Concord & 9th Cuddles & Hugs Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. The two layers are adhered to the card with E-Z Runner Ultra Strong. A few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and the card is done! I love the edge dies and the nice simple hugs greeting! I hope that you like my card for my July Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! Paper Craft Crew 250

Hey there! Another morning that started off with some rain but then finished nice and sunny! I got a few things completed that I wanted to finish in the morning. I also got a little cleaning done! Last night I went with Heather and Stephanie to see George play softball. They lost the first game but were winning the second when we left! This morning I’m off to Manhattan again, this time to see Mary! Should be another fun day in the city! 😀

Well, let’s see… it’s Wednesday so time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

Today’s card starts off with a card base of Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the Concord & 9th Barnwood Background Photopolymer Stamp in Soft Vanilla right onto the front. My ice pops are from the Concord & 9th Sweet & Cool Photopolymer Stamp Set, they are stamped in Aquatic, Crimson and Green Apple Hybrid Ink and then heat embossed with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. My sticks are cut from some leftover Kraft that I heat embossed with clear using the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background. I adhered the sticks to the popsicles and then them to the card. I stamped my greeting, also from the Sweet & Cool Set, in Cup O Joe. A few Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets on the ice pops and the card is done! I love the effect that you get when you clear emboss over the Hybrid ink! They really do look good enough to eat! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the other cards and enter yours in the gallery! Paper Players 350

And back to reality! I did have one of the best weekends in recent memory! We all had so much fun at Jim’s country house on the lake! The traffic was a little horrendous on the way home but that’s New York! We did stop for a little lunch and I got back to my house around 4:30. I decompressed for a bit and then Taylor came by and we ran a few errands and got Wendy’s for dinner. I also made my card for today! This morning I’m off to Manhattan to see my friend Isabella! It’s been way too long! 😀

That card that I made is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Hero Arts Delicate Petals Stencil with my Stencil Brush and some Lime Green Ink to add a little color to the background. Down the left side is a strip of Night of Navy. The Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies are used to cut out a piece of Lime and I adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner Ultra Strong. My butterflies are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Butterflies Photopolymer Stamp Set, I stamped them in Tide Pool and Navy using my Mini MISTI and then cut them out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts. The greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set. It’s heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto another strip of Night of Navy. All of the butterflies and greeting are adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. I really am enjoying my stencils and brush, such an easy way to add some color to a card! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thanks for starting your week off here with me! Have a magnificent Monday! 🙂
