Oh, Hello Squared – Concord & 9th May Guest Designer

Hello again! In this post I get to tell you that I have the privilege of being one of the Guest Designer’s for Concord & 9th for the May Release! You all know that I love their innovative and fun products! It also doesn’t hurt that Angie, Greg and Amy are some of the nicest people that I have had the pleasure of doing business with! So, for next four Fridays I will be sharing products from the new release with you! Each week Jeanette, Vera and myself will be using the same products so you can see how versatile they are! This week we are showing you the new Oh, Hello Turnabout Stamp!

To start my project I followed the instructions in THIS VIDEO to get my stamp ready. I then put it in to my MISTI along with a piece of Solar White 80lb. To ink it I used Lawn Fawn Merman, Fresh Lavender and Narwhal Ink for the first three turns. I made sure that it was ready for some heat embossing by using my Heat Tool to completely dry it. I placed the paper back into the MISTI and added my Versa-Mark. Next I sprinkled on Hero Arts White Satin Pearl Embossing Powder and heat set it. For the first card I trimmed a piece of the stamped background to 5 1/2 x 4 1/4. I wrapped a piece of 48lb Vellum around the sides and adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The hello is cut three times from more Solar White 110lb using the Concord & 9th Say Hello Dies. I adhered them to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and then heat embossed it with more White Satin Pearl Embossing Powder. The OH is from the Concord & 9th Say Hello Photopolymer Stamp Set and that is heat embossed onto a piece of Basic Gray. I used a little more Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere the hello and 3M Foam Tape to adhere the OH.

I had a strip of the background left over so I thought why not make a second card! For this one I stamped the hi there, also from the Oh, Hello Turnabout Stamp, in Merman and Fresh Lavender onto another card base of Solar White 110lb down the right side. The leftover piece of the background is adhered to a piece of Coastal Cabana and then adhered down the left side of the card! Super simple and a nice quick fun card!

I LOVE that Oh, Hello Turnabout Stamp! See what I mean by innovative fun products?! How cool is it that you can make your own background paper in any color that you want?! OSAT May Blog Hop – Clean & Simple!

Happy Thursday to you all! I had another relatively productive day yesterday. I went to the Store in the morning and visited with Renee for a bit. After that I went to my Parent’s to see little Daniel and Tristan. They were over so that Erika could study for her Chemistry final. After that back to my house to work on some projects, some dinner with my Mum and Dad and then Taylor came by and we watched a few episodes of Blindspot, I’m happy to report that I’m all caught up! I have a bunch of projects to get finished and who know what else?!

For my projects today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. If you have arrived here from the clever Lori Mueller’s blog, welcome! This month we have a Clean & Simple theme! I love a nice clean, simple card especially lately! And when you can use just one set and some ink even better!

All of the four cards use a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Concord & 9th Enjoy it All Photopolymer Stamp Set to stamp all of my images and greetings in Lawn Fawn Ballet Slippers, Fresh Lavender, Peachy Keen, Minty Fresh, Sunflower, Juice Box, Carrot, Sugarplum, Jalapeño and Black Licorice. The greetings are stamped using my Mini MISTI and the rest of the images with blocks. That’s it! Some nice quick, clean, crisp and simple cards! I do love a stamp set from Concord & 9th, they are one of my favorite companies, they have fun and innovative products that make projects great!

I hope that you enjoyed my card and gift tag  for the OSAT Clean & Simple Blog Hop! Paper Craft Crew 243

Hi! What’s going on by you?! I had a very productive day yesterday. I got a bunch of emails sent out and puts some plans in motion. Sometimes it’s hard to put things in perspective, but eventually you are left with no choice. The rest of the day was fun, Jim came by and we went out a got a late lunch and managed to finish the crafty project that we have been working on! Feels good to have it done. Now we’ll start working on some new ones! Today I have to run over to the Store again and then I have a bunch of projects to get started! 😀

It’s Wednesday so time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I wanted a nice simple card and I haven’t used feathers in a very long time! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a strip of Gold Mirror Card with the ends flagged to it and then got to work on my center panel. The images and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Dream Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed them and two extras onto a piece of Arches 140lb Cold Press Watercolor Card with Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. They are colored in with my Gansai Tambi Watercolors. The panel is adhered to a piece of Sugarplum and then to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. A strip of Peacock with the left end flagged is adhered along the top of the panel and the two extra feathers are cut out with the Coordinating Lawn Cuts and adhered to the right side of the Peacock Strip. I added three Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and a heavy coat of Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to the feathers to complete the card! I do love the feathers, especially in the teal and purple! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Special Day Florals – W Plus 9

I thought that I was going to have a nice relaxing Saturday but then things got busy! I ended up taking a trip into Manhattan to see my friends Jim and Diane and then I ran down to The Ink Pad to see Anna. By the time I got back to Penn Station it was 7:00. I got a text from my friend Chantal telling me that she was at my friend Carol’s out in Babylon for her annual Kentucky Derby Party and would I stop by. I haven’t see Carol in over two years so I took a ride out there. It was so good to catch up! I got home around 10:00 and sat down to make a quick card for today’s post… an hour later and it was finished! LOL! So much for quick! This morning I’m headed up to Nashua New Hampshire with Heather to pick up her new car! Now there is a road trip! 😀

My “quick” card that I made really didn’t take that long to make, it was deciding what to use that took the time! I settled on one of my all time favorites from W Plus 9! This set has dies that are solid so I always cut out the paper with the Coordinating Dies first and then do my stamping. All of the floral images and greeting are from the W Plus 9 Fresh Cut Florals Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them in Peachy Keen, Lobster, Sunflower, Freshly Cut Grass, Noble Fir, Fresh Lavender, Sugarplum and Black Licorice. The greeting is stamped onto another strip of Solar White 80lb. They are arranged on the card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and then adhered with Dot Runner and 3M Foam Tape. It’s a very simple looking card and that greeting would work for so many different occasions! I hope that you like today’s card! Thank you for checking in and have a simple but fun Sunday! 🙂

Hello Lovely Butterfly – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th

Hello and welcome to post number two for today! Once a month I get to do a solo post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog and share a fun project with you using some goodies from one of my favorite companies! You can also see this post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog. While you’re there check out all of the other fabulous cards that the rest of the Team has created as we get ready for our next challenge coming up on May 9th! Today I’m sharing another single layer card!

For my card base I used Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. To create my mask I stamped the butterfly from the Concord & 9th Butterfly Beauty Photopolymer Stamp Set in Narwhal in and then stamped it again onto a Post-it Note. The one on the Post-it is cut out with my Scissors and placed over the one stamped onto the card. Next I stamped the floral cluster from the Hello Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set Again in Narwhal along with the greeting. To color the images in I used Prismacolor Pencils. I went a little darker on the butterfly to make it stand out a bit more. It needed just a little something so I added some random dots with a Gold Sign Gel Pen. These really are two of my favorite sets from Concord & 9th and I love the way the butterfly turned out!

I hope that you enjoyed my card for today and that you will give masking a try! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! We are getting ready to start our next challenge on May 9th, be sure to come back to see what the rest of my talented teammates have to inspire you for that one!

Thank you for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your day! 🙂

Ahh… Friday! Thursday was pretty good, the Store was fun, had a little card class in the morning. I came home after work and got ready to go over to Jim’s for dinner. We had Tacos, I got to meet some of his peeps and we got all of the technology in the house straightened out! Mojo Monday 494

I had a nice quiet but productive Sunday. I got a bunch of cleaning done, vacuumed the inside of my car and ran a few errands wth Taylor. There was a little TV watching thrown in there too. It was a nice sunny day so being outside was a definite must. Not a terrible way to spend a Sunday! Today more fun at the Store! 😀

What’s the best way to chase away the Monday’s? Why with a new Mojo Monday Sketch of course…

My card starts with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I ran a strip of Ballerina Pink, with the end flagged, down the center. Next up is a piece of Lawn Fawn Watercolor Wishes Petite Paper that I cut with the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Rectangle Stackables and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I used the Lawn Fawn Fab Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set to create some patterned paper of my own, stamping the rose in Ballet Slippers and Minty Fresh. It’s cut out with the Lawn Fawn Large Dotted Squares Stackables Lawn Cuts. On top and to the lower left of that is a piece of Kraft that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Small Dotted Circles Stackables and adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. More flowers are stamped and cut out with the Coordinating Lawn Cuts and adhered to the Kraft Circle with more 3D Foam Squares. My greeting is from the Lawn Fawn Happy, Happy, Happy Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the Happy in Ballet Slippers and cut it out with the Coordinating Lawn Cut and the rest of the greeting is stamped in Minty Fresh onto a strip of Solar White 80lb and adhered to the card with still more 3D Foam Squares. I love the subtle look of the flower stamped in the same color for both layers! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks so much for starting your week off with me! Have a magnificent Monday! 🙂

Floral Happy On!

Another rainy overcast day but that didn’t matter because of the crop inside the Store! I had fun as I always do! Got to spend some time with my friend Evelyn, we chatted about her upcoming trip to London and Europe. After work I came home and had some dinner. Then I decided that it was time to do some cleaning so I tackled the closet in the dining room and threw out a nice big black garbage bag of crap! Feels good to purge! Today I’m off and I don’t have a lot planned so we’ll see where the day takes me! 😀

I have yet another stamped background card to share with you today! I used the Concord & 9th Fill-In Phrases Photopolymer Stamp Set to stamp my background in Moonstone and Minty Fresh Ink onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My sentiment is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of 48lb Vellum. To adhered it to the card I used Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape and hid teeny tiny pieces behind the embossing. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and the card is finished! As you can see I’m really enjoying the stamped backgrounds! I hope that you like today’s card! Thanks for stopping by and have a simple Sunday! 🙂

Perfect Pineapple

It’s the weekend peeps! What’s going on for you? There is a crop today at the Store so that will be fun! Yesterday’s Card Class was great, everyone enjoyed the cards! Last night was quiet but I did manage to go over to Sue’s and get some Etsy stuff done. Not much else to report which can be a good thing! 😀

Today I have a pretty simple stamped background card to share with you. I started by stamping the images from the Concord & 9th Pop Art Pineapple Photopolymer Stamp Set in Sunflower, Doe, Jalapeño and Carrot Ink onto piece of Solar White 80lb. I adhered that to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, the front is covered in a piece of Black. Another piece of Black is die cut with the Concord & 9th Best Banners Dies three times. I adhered them to each other and to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. All that was left to do was stamp the greeting from the Concord & 9th Best Banners Photopolymer Stamp Set In Black Licorice and the card is done! Love the nice bright bold background with the die cut! I hope that you like today’s card and I thank you for stopping by to visit with me today! Have a sensational Saturday! 🙂
