Hey! That was not a bad Monday as far as Monday’s go, how was your’s? I didn’t do much else besides some crafting last night, I have a ton of projects to get finished. I did get some very exciting news yesterday though. I got an email from Stampin’ Up! letting me know that I have been selected to be a Display Stamper at the 2013 Convention! I can’t even contain my excitement! My projects up on the boards for all to see! I’m a little nervous, they will have to be great projects. Wish me luck!!

Today’s card – Mojo Monday Sketch 289…

The base of my card is Crumb Cake and the background is a piece of Daffodil Delight stamped in Daffodil Delight with the Netting Background Stamp. The paper is from the This and That Epic Day Designer Series Paper Pack. I used three different patterns. The stamped image and greeting are from the Blue Ribbon Stamp Set and are stamped in Calypso Coral and Gumball Green. A Soda Pop Top has a piece of Adhesive Cork Sheet and Large Basic Rhinestone inside. Some Basic Jewels Rhinestones and Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon finish off the card. A CASE for Monday

Happy Monday… NOT! LOL! Poor Monday always has a bad rap because it starts another work week. I had a great weekend and the weather was almost perfect. I did a little running around yesterday morning and had some lunch with Maureen. I also started to organize my craft area which has become quite large, soon the bed will have to leave! Some cards were made and then I found a 16 Handles Froyo not far from here so I alerted my peeps and off we went. My friend Kim’s two little girls are just the cutest, Izzy says my name now and I melt! I even got to see the child last night, a great way to cap off any evening. 🙂

Today’s card – A CASE – from Stampin’ Success…

I know that most of you know that us Demonstrators get this great magazine every two months (used to be every month, I miss it!) and on the front cover and inside were these great flowers and one was made into a card. I did a little CASE of the card, I did change a few things, but I really like the way it came out. The base of the card is Calypso Coral and the background is a piece of Whisper White. I sponged some Calypso Coral on the front and along the edges. Some paper-piercing is done around the perimeter and the greeting is stamped from the Blooming with Kindness Stamp Set in Soft Suede. The doily is heat embossed with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder and there is some Creped Filter Paper and This and That Washi Tape on there too. The flower is created using the Blossom Punch and some distressing with my Bone Folder and the Stampin’ Pierce Mat. Some leaves from the Secret Garden Framelits and a piece of 5/8″ Flower Trim in the middle. A few spots and Basic Jewels Rhinestones finish off the card. I hope you enjoyed my CASE today. Paper Players #141 🙂

Happy Sunday everyone! How are you all today? I’m good and I had a very nice day yesterday. The weather was nice and spring like, 54 degrees. I saw my friends Isabella and Mallory in the morning and then had some lunch and froyo with Kim. The froyo today was from a place called 16 Handles. I had salted caramel and toasted marshmallow, both were delicious! Later, my daughter Taylor and friend Maureen and I went shopping and had some Panera for dinner. A very good day indeed! Now today will be crafty Sunday!

Today’s card – Paper Players #141 – A color challenge from Anne Marie…

A very nice combo of colors, I don’t think I would have thought to pair Rich Razzleberry with the blues but it works quite well. The base of my card is Crumb Cake. The strip is from the World Spectacular Designer Series Paper Pack. For the greeting I used the Sweet Essentials Stamp Set and stamped it in Rich Razzleberry on Baja Breeze. The leaves are created with the 1″ and 1/2″ Circle Punches. Some 5/8″ Flower Trim was inked in Rich Razzleberry but I left some of the Vanilla to show through. A fun simple card for one of the special people in your life just to say “hey!” I hope you enjoyed my Paper Players Guest Designer card for this week’s Color Challenge from Anne Marie. Happy Saturday my peeps! It was a rainy windy day here yesterday all day. I did get to the Apple Store with my buddy Anthony and get his new iPad. We have some tweaking to do to make it perfect for him but we’ll get there. We went to this really great pizza place called Anthony’s Coal Fire Pizza. They had these coal fire oven wings with onions and no buffalo sauce. They were crispy and delicious as was the pizza. What are all of you up to this weekend. I’m off to Manhattan this morning to see some friends and maybe wander a little. I do love the city, always something new to see or do!

Today’s card – Create with Connie and Mary Sketch 247…

I knew exactly what I was going to use for the right side of the panel as soon as I saw the sketch. The base of my card is Basic Gray and the background is some This and That Epic Day Designer Series Paper. I used the “Vintage” Spiral Border Punch for the right side of the panel. A Sticker from the the Epic Day This and That Designer Stickers Pack is on the panel with some Daffodil Delight Flowers on the top and some Epic Day This and That Washi Tape behind the greeting from the A Round Array Stamp Set. Fab Friday 16

Guess what?!?! It’s FRIDAY!! Woo hoo!! One of my favorite days of the week! This was a very busy week and I will be super happy at 5:00 when it’s finally over. I’m out to dinner with my friend Anthony and his mom tonight. We are going to get him an iPad for his birthday! I always love a trip to the Apple Store and some time with my peeps is always great. I’m off to the city tomorrow to see some friends and wander around a bit. Then it will be a crafty Sunday! 🙂

Today’s card – Fab Friday Color Challenge Design Team…

I was inspired by my clever friend LeAnne’s card from Tuesday. I love the Chevron Embossing Folder and cut out it looks great. It does take a little time but the end result is quite cool. The base of my card is Crumb Cake. I embossed some Calypso Coral, Pool Party and Summer Starfruit with the Chevron Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and used my Paper Snips a lot! A piece of Crumb Cake made into a tag and stamped with the Oh, Hello! Stamp Set tied with some Linen Thread finishes off the card nicely. Freshly Made Sketches #81

Hello! It was a nice day yesterday for the most part, not as warm as Tuesday but nice. We had a short thunderstorm later and Winston doesn’t like that all all. He shook for about 15 minutes after it was over. Poor Winston. We are supposed to get some more rain today and a lot more tomorrow and it’s going back down to the 50’s. I did enjoy the taste of warm weather. I had to sit in a 3 hour class yesterday and it was pure torture! I sort of zoned out for most of it. So, Stampin’ Up! has lots going on at the moment and soon it will be time for the new catalog! Have you seen the new Wood Mount stamp cases? Check out the YouTube video here! Busy busy!!

Today’s card – Freshly Made Sketches #81 – By Cindy…

My card starts off with a base of Soft Suede and the background is Fine Feathers at the top and Brushed Gold Card Stock with some “Vintage” Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon. The bird and cage are from the Nature Walk Stamp Set, the cage is heat embossed with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and the bird is shaded with some eye shadow applicators! For the greeting, Teeny Tiny Wishes is punched out with the Word Window Punch and shortened. I also flipped the sketch upside down! Paper Craft Crew #37

Hello and thank you for stopping by today to see what I’m up to! It was absolutely gorgeous here on Long Island today, we reached 82 degrees! It is just a taste because tomorrow is supposed to be 72 and then back into the 50’s for a while. Myself and some friends went over to another friends for dinner last night. We had steak marinated in soy sauce, pineapple, ginger and brown sugar. I’m not a huge steak fan but it was delicious. After dinner Heather and I went to RedMango for some treats. They have a dark chocolate flavor that is thick and tasted like brownie batter, it was yummy! I can’t wait for the warm weather to be here for good!

Hey there! How was Monday? Mine was, well to be kind, not my favorite. Work is extremely busy and it doesn’t show any signs of letting up. I am so happy when I come home and sit down at the craft desk. I get to forget about all of the misery of the day and focus on being creative. It’s the perfect end to a hectic day. When do you do your crafting? I also like to rummage through my supplies from time to time. When I do I inevitably find something that I completely forgot about. Last night was no exception. In amongst the Designer Series Paper was my Boutique Boxes Designer Kit. I think I need to spend a little time going through more and finding little surprises!

Today’s card – Mojo Monday 288 – Sketch Challenge from Sarah Bigelow…

The card base is Basic Gray and the background is Sahara Sand embossed with the Chevron Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Pals Paper Arts 156

Monday… I much prefer sunday to you! How was everyones weekend? Mine was good, car show Saturday, finished the Christening Invites yesterday, had some dinner with Heather and saw the wee ones and the child. All in all not a bad weekend at all. It was quite windy here yesterday too, I really do wish that spring would hurry up and get here. Today, I’m going to try something a little different. Rather than bore you with the step by step walk through of how I make the card I’m just going to highlight bits and give you the supply list at the end. You, of course, can tell me that you don’t enjoy it and I’ll go back to the old way. So here we go!

The card base is Whisper white and the background is Crumb Cake embossed with the Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The flowers and the butterflies nicely offset the flagged banners at the top. The greeting is from Lacy and Lovely and is stamped in Crumb Cake. Honeycomb, tags and cork, my current obsessions!

Paper Players #140 🙂

Wow! Sunday already, Saturday just flew by. I did have a very nice time at the auto show in Manhattan yesterday. The highlight was seeing the RollsRoyce Wraith, isn’t that a cool name for a car?! It was gorgeous! The traffic in the city yesterday was insane, but it was a Saturday and it was a pretty nice day. What were all of you up to yesterday?

Sunday means it’s time for this week’s Paper Players challenge! This week the fabulous Nance has a theme challenge for you…

What a fun idea to go green with some recycling on a card! I thought about it for a while and I finally settled on some jeans. The base of my card is Midnight Muse Card Stock. For the background I embossed a piece of Crumb Cake with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I always use it no tabs when I emboss with the Woodgrain Folder so it doesn’t tear the card stock. The tag is made from a piece of Summer Starfruit, the Simply Scored Diagonal Plate supplies the corners for the tag and a standard hole punch makes the hole at the top. I used a piece of Midnight Muse 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon to thread through the top of the tag. The greeting is from the Make a Wish Stamp Set and is stamped in Midnight Muse. For the flower I used the Blossom Party Bigz Die and some old jeans from the Gap. I really like the way that the inside has the contrasting “crumb cake” look. A retired Brad from last year’s Sale-A-Bration holds it together and some Multipurpose Glue holds it to the tag. Some butterflies are stamped with the Papillon Potpourri Stamp Set in Midnight Muse on Very Vanilla and punched out with the Bitty Butterfly Punch. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to hold them in place. I really like using natural materials on cards and the jeans are pretty neat for the flower! I hope that you enjoyed my Paper Players Guest Designer Card for this week’s challenge.
