Paper Players 311

I’m almost all caught up at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! My Hero Arts order is all entered! Finally! LOL! The Magic of Vellum Class was great! Everyone was very impressed with the technique that they learned and I got some feedback for future classes from my talented students! My Parent’s stopped by the store and we got to FaceTime with Aunt Shirley in London. After work it was time for this week’s Thirsty Thursday! Heather, Stephanie and I sat outside and enjoyed the perfect evening! Today I’m off to Manhattan for much needed visit! I’ll stop by The Ink Pad and then go uptown to see my friend Ella. From there I’m going to meet Kim and maybe have some dinner! I’m looking forward to it! As I had mentioned earlier in the week this is my first post for today! There will be another one around 12:00 for the new Design Team that I’m on over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge Blog! Be sure to come back for that!

This morning I have my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge to share with you…

Paper Players #311

Circles… I haven’t made a round card in a very long time! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles Stackables Lawn Cuts to cut out the folded card base except for about 1/8″ at the top. I then trimmed off about an 1/8″ from the bottom of the back panel and put it aside. My front panel on my card is stamped with the Concord & 9th Flourish Photopolymer Stamp Set in Altenewย Soft Lilac, Lavender Fields, Deep Iris, Midnight Violet, Forest Glades and Evergreen Crisp Inks using my Mini MISTI. I used the same Stitched Circle Die to trim it out and adhered it to the card base with E-Z Runner. To frame the card I cut out a piece of Gold Mirror Card with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Frames Lawn Cuts and adhered it to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. My greeting is another piece of Gold Mirror Card cut out with the Concord & 9th Wonderful Words Dies. It’s adhered to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. A few Pretty Pink Posh Gold, Amethyst and Pansy Purple Sequins finish the card! I love that Flourish Set and can’t believe that it’s the first time I’m using it! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thanks for coming by this morning, don’t forget to stop back this afternoon to see the second post! Have an easy Friday morning! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. This is another beautiful creation that probably just popped into your head!! I love the purples and greens with the Gold Mirror Card in the circle. It’s a great take on the challenge. Have a great day in the City. I’ll look forward to your afternoon post.

    1. Yes, it actually did HJ! I had wanted to use that stamp set! I really am loving purple at the moment! I really enjoyed my day in Manhattan! It had been way too long! Hope that you are enjoying your weekend! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Justin – you’re killin’ me with all these gorgeous creations! I’m almost drooling on my keypad. What a perfectly beautiful ornament this would make for a Christmas tree (and yes, you can use colors other than red and green on ornaments and cards). I haven’t done a round card in ages either and the gold mirror stock circling this amazingly beauteous piece of artwork is really making me itchy to put the fabric away and start stamping again. Heck, putting the quilt together can wait for snow and ice! Your color combinations are always so perfect with these multi stamp cards. If it were the middle ages I might actually swoon over them.

Hey, enjoy your day in The City! I’m trying to see if I can fit a day to get to Manhattan when I go to CT in October. Usually that’s not possible but I’m working on it. Hazy, hot and horrifically humid today! GRRRRRRR
Love and hugs to you my friend! XXOO ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. LOL! Thanks very much Grace! Yes! It would make a really cool ornament! You know I love anything but red and green for Christmas! LOL! It had been a really long time since I have done a round card, they are fun! You need to get stamping again, it’s too hot to have all of that fabric all over you! Too bad it’s not the middle ages!
I had a wonderful time in the city, I had missed it! If you can fit a day in I’ll come in and meet you! I loved the heat, even though the subway was like an oven! Love and hugs to you too! XOXO ๐Ÿ™‚
