Paper Craft Crew 229

Happy Hump Day! We had the snow promised yesterday but thankfully it didn’t amount to much, at least not on the roads. It snowed on and off most of the day. Renee and I were nice and snug inside the Store. People stopped by to for Renee’s All Occasions Class and we had three new ladies! One of them is a stamper! Yay! Jean came by and hung out with us for a while too, she is one funny lady! I worked on some cards and actually got three made. After work I headed over to have dinner with Sue and drop of some My Favorite Things goodies. From there I came back home and spent some time with my friend Jim. It’s so nice to just sit and chat sometimes! Tonight Danielle is supposed to come by! I haven’t seen her is way too long, can’t wait! πŸ˜€

One of the cards that I made yesterday is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge

For the card base I used some Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, my background is a piece of Kraft. I stamped the heart and mugs from the Concord & 9th Cozy Up Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lawn Fawn Black Licorice Ink and then cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. I also stamped some of the single wood rings on the card front in Lawn Fawn Lobster Ink. The heart is adhered to the card with Tombo Dot Runner Adhesive. My greeting is cut from a piece of American Crafts Black Glitter Card Stock. I adhered the mugs to a strip of Vellum with 3D Foam Squares and then added a strip of Chinese Red behind it and cut the right side at an angle. Some more 3D Foam Squares adhere the vellum to the card and a little Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive holds the greeting to the Vellum. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Raspberry Sequins and the card is done! I love stretching my stamps and think that this would make a great masculine Valentine’s Card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team Card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! 2. Oh yes – lovely card indeed. I too love the little coffee mugs and really, could there be a nicer Valentine’s card for a friend? The answer would be a whopping big NO! So great that on this particular card it’s just a pop of red versus an overwhelming red on white. This so reminds me of all the wonderful times I’ve sat with a friend, one on one and enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate while chit chatting and catching up. I just love it.

Hey, you don’t have hump day anymore remember? Neither do I but I don’t have them because I’m fortunate enough to be retired. You don’t have them because small business owners work 7 days a week even if they aren’t at their business. So glad you got to spend time with friends. That is so important. You have yourself a Wicked Good Wednesday my friend. Love & Hugs to you and thanks for such a great card today! XXOO πŸ™‚
