Snowy Summer Mountains

Home / Blog / Snowy Summer Mountains

Hello and a happy Saturday to you! It rained a little here yesterday and was sunny too, just couldn’t make up it’s mind! I managed to get some crafting done in the morning and then had dinner with my Parents. Taylor came by again, I guess she really does like spending time with me, I must be a cool dad! LOL! We ran some errands and talked for a while. Today is Tristan’s first birthday party! I’ll be sure and get some pictures, even I have to steal them off of the shared album! Should be a fun time! 😀

I was missing the lake this weekend and somehow this card came out of that! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Marina Mist. I used the Hero Arts Snowy Drifts Fancy Dies to cut out two pieces of Garden Green. To give them a little more definition I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add some Pine Needles Distress Ink to the tops. I then heat embossed my greeting from the Hero Arts You’re So Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The two pieces are then adhered to the card. That lovely frame is cut from a piece of Desert Storm 80lb with the Hero Arts Floral Border with Frame Die and is adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. I love when you can use a winter set to make a nice summery card! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! I thank you for visiting and wish you a superb Saturday! 🙂

  1. Hi Justin:
I love, love, love this one. That frame die is absolutely fabulous and I love a card with a scenic dimension to it. Just gorgeous! I especially like the little house peeking out at the top of the hill. It’s hard to believe Tristan is a year old already. Seems like yesterday that you shared her entry into the world. I bet Daniel will be willing to help her open her birthday presents! That alone should make for some fabulous photos. Enjoy the birthday party and yes, you absolutely MUST share some photos. Have yourself a Super Saturday! Love & Hugs to you my friend. XXOO 🙂
