Mojo 274 & Sneak Peek – jkcards

Mojo 274 & Sneak Peek

Happy 2013 everyone! I hope that you all had a very nice New Years Eve and that we all will have a safe, happy and prosperous New Year! I went to my friends Brian & Kim’s house and we watched Dick Clark’s Rockin’ Eve. Izzy and I had some hummus, I love when little ones eat stuff like hummus. It was a nice evening spent with some great friends, I can’t think of a better way to start the new year!

My first post of the for the New Year is my Mojo Monday card. This week we have a nice simple sketch from Carole Burrage…

A nice simple sketch deserves a nice simple card. The base of my card is Chocolate Chip Card Stock and the background is a simple piece of Marina Mist. The patterned paper is from the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack*. I used the Needlepoint Border Textured Impressions Embossing Folder* along each edge and a Sponge Dauber with some Chocolate Chip Ink to make them stand out. A piece of Early Espresso 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon (Retired) is adhered around the back with Sticky Strip and another piece is knotted towards the top. The greeting is from the Cross My Heart Stamp Set and is stamped in Chocolate Chip. The butterflies, from the same set, are stamped in Marina Mist. I backed the circle with a piece of Chocolate Chip that I punched out with the 2 3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch and mounted it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I think that best wishes is a good greeting to start off the New Year. I hope you enjoyed my Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge card and thank you very much for your first visit of 2013! Have a great day! πŸ™‚

  1. This might be a simple card but I love it! I think it is the embossed stitching that setsi it off so nicely. That paper stack is high on my list of have to haves! Happy New Year to you Justin!
