I had a very quiet uneventful day yesterday, which is nice for a change. I went and let the dogs out in the morning, got my haircut and then crafted for a good part of the day. I went back last night and let dogs out again, came home and just relaxed. It’s nice to have a quiet day but today needs to make up for it! LOL!
Today’s post is for this month’s Catherine & Cathy Create Monthly Challenge. This month we ask you to make a “‘Tis the Season” Christmas themed project. My card starts off with a base of Whisper White Card Stock. I embossed a piece of Crisp Cantaloupe with the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for my background. A piece of Silver Glimmer paper is cut out with the Festive Flurry Framelits Dies and adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The image is from the Warmth and Wonder Host(ess) Stamp Set and is stamped in Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Cantaloupe, lined up perfectly with my Stamp-a-ma-jig. I cut it out with the Circles Collection Framelits Dies and also a piece of Pistachio Pudding to back it. The greeting is from last month’s Paper Pumpkin and is stamped in Crisp Cantaloupe and backed with Pistachio Pudding. Both the image and greeting are also adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I really like the glimmer snowflake as a backdrop for the image and the color combo is definitely a non-traditional one which I love! Thanks a lot for stopping by to see my Design Team card for this month’s Catherine & Cathy Create “Tis the Season” challenge. Go over to the blog to see what the other Design Team members have and enter your card in the gallery and you could win a roll of Cherry Cobbler Grosgrain Ribbon! Have a very nice Sunday! 🙂

Hi Justin! I really like (ok love!) this card—this is a great color combination. Non-traditional christmas colors but it definitely works! That sentiment from the Paper Pumpkin is awesome. Another great card from you! Have a wonderful Sunday!
Hello Karen!
Yeah! I’m so glad that you love the card! I hope that your Sunday was great! 🙂
Good morning Justin! It’s snowing here in Maine and everything looks amazingly beautiful. Great card design today and I love the snowflake done with the glimmer paper. I use that set a lot but have never thought to cover the center with circles and a stamp. Brilliant! Have a fantastic day.
Hello Grace! You can keep the snow!! Glad you like the idea! Enjoy the rest of your Sunday! 🙂
What a perfectly lovely holiday card – it took my breath away. It was the combination of cantaloupe and sparkles that did it. And the dots and pretty script. And the yummy pistachio. Delightful creation, Justin!
Thanks so much Georgie! I love the sparkle with the soft colors too, have a nice night!
