Paper Craft Crew 116

Yes, I do like a Wednesday, this week has been a little torturous at work and it promises only to get worse. But let me not complain about that, let’s focus on the positive. This weekend promises to be fun and I’m looking forward to it. It will be a busy one but then most of them are and to be honest I wouldn’t have them any other way! Tonight was another quiet night, I ran a few errands after work and then came home and listened to some music. Yes, Sam was in there along with Zedd. I do like to sample opposite ends of the spectrum!

It being Wednesday means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for our sketch challenge…

PCCCS116 Sketch 10-29-2014

I stayed pretty true to the sketch but moved things around a bit! I started today’s card with a base of Whisper White Card Stock. For the background I took a piece of Pacific Point and one of the stamps from the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set and heat embossed it in Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder, randomly stamped. A piece of Whisper White serves as the home for my greeting which is from the Mingle All the Way Stamp Set and is stamped in Pacific Point. The frame is a piece of Silver Foil Sheet and is cut out with the On Film Framelits and adhered to the white with 2-Way Glue, slightly offset. Some Stampin’ Dimensionals adhere it to the card. My snowflake is from the Cheerful Tags Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Pacific Point and punched out with the 1″ Circle Punch. A few Basic Jewels Rhinestones are adhered to the image and another piece of Silver Foil Sheet is punched out with the Banner Punch and tucked behind it. Another Stampin’ Dimensionals adheres it to the card. A nice and bright cheerful non-traditional Holiday card! I don’t think that I have used Pacific Point in a really long time, if ever for a Holiday card, but I really like it! I hoe that you too enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge. Over on the BLOG you will find some more inspiration from the rest of the design team. Take a little time to make a card and upload it to the gallery so we can see your creation! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your Wednesday! 🙂

    1. Hello Marty!
Thank you! That frame is just fun! I’m sorry that you are still having to log in. I’ll have some time on Friday to take a look and see if I can get it fixed. 🙂

  3. Awesome sentiment, really like this stamp set. OMG another need, LOL

I was at a conference today so I can say the week is moving, but of course I’m waiting for Friday.
My drive to and from this conference took me past a favorite scrapbook store, I was dyng had not been there since June. I HAD TO STOP IN, I was in the neighborhood right? Ok I will not admit to the amount of my damages but I got some awesome goodies

    1. LOL! Thank you Linda! It’s a nice big sentiment, love that!
It’s always nice to get a day out of the office! My week is dragging but it will soon be done! Of course you had to stop into the scrapbook store! It’s only money and it will all go to good use! 🙂

  4. Hi Justin:

After trying all day I was finally able to get to your blog. Love the card and the filmstrip has been a favorite of mine for a long, long time. To me it really brings out the sentiment, especially when done with the silver foil paper. Great job! Of course any kind of bling brings a smile to my face. LOL FYI I’m glad to see I’m not the only one that has to log in each time to post a comment. Sorry Marty – It could be a lot worse like not getting into the blog at all! Hope tomorrow is a much better day than expected Justin, that’s always a nice thing! 🙂 Hugs.

    1. Hello Grace!
I’m so sorry that you had trouble getting to the blog. I did try a few times today and it worked so I don’t know what the issue was. I too am a fan of the Filmstrip! Especially love it in Gold or Silver and I know how you love a little bling! I will definitely try to see what you need to log in. I can’t check it from my end but I’ll get it fixed. I will just be glad when the week is done. Hugs to you too my friend! 🙂
