Hey there kiddies! Made it through another Monday! Work was not too bad, lots to get organized but it will get done. My brother and Erika stayed at my parent’s last night with Daniel. They are off to Los Angeles this morning. I think they are going for a wedding but they are also going to visit Disney while they are there! I wished my sister-in-law good luck with the 5 1/2 hour flight! Daniel is not one to sit still for very long! LOL! I can’t wait to hear how that goes! I’m also looking forward to seeing the pictures from Disney! I hope that they have a great trip and I can’t wait to hear all about it when they return. After dinner I came home and played around with some new stuff that I got in the mail. Yes, more crafty stuff, hmm.. where am I going to put it?! I think we all have that problem to some extent… right?! Right?!?!
Today I’m over on the SUO Challenges blog for our Support Your Team challenge. I was a little perplexed as to what to do since I am not a big sports fan at all. I thought about it for a while and settle on a simple encouragement card. The card base is Whisper White Card Stock and the front is covered in a piece of Daffodil Delight. I used the stencil from the Hooray it’s Your Day Project Kit and some Daffodil Delight Ink with a Sponge Dauber to create the rays on some Whisper White. My greeting is form the Bravo Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Daffodil Delight. I used the Starburst Framelits to cut it out and some Stampin’ Dimensionals adhere it to the card. A very simple card, I do love that stencil and how it looks behind the greeting! As a little bonus at the end of the post I have a card that I made for my friend Marissa from work for her to give to her sister for her birthday so scroll down past the supplies to take a peek! I hope that you enjoyed my card for the SUO Challenges Support Your Team challenge. Stop by the blog to see what the rest of the team has come up with. Have a terrific Tuesday and thanks for visiting! 🙂

Oh, Oh, Oh Justin………….I just love your card for the challenge. The reason is probably that it has to make you smile with all that yellow! In addition, I truly do love CAS cards and I cannot imagine anyone not smiling if they opened an envelope and found this one.
I’m sure your friend Marissa is going to go gaga over the card you made for her sister. I really like those glasses. You are very sweet to make cards for your friends to give. I’m sure they all admire your talents and it’s nice to know someone they can count on to make something special for someone special.
According to our weatherman, it is supposed to start warming up next week. Yeah! However I don’t want the weather to skip spring completely and go from too cold to too hot. Some spring temperatures would be nice for a few weeks. I’m anxious to get rid of the thermals and winter coat and sweatshirts and into tee shirts and no socks. Will spend today working on a quilt for my younger daughter and this evening I really need to get some birthday cards made. You have yourself a terrific Tuesday my friend. Hugs, 🙂
Yay! Thank you Grace! Yellow is a very happy color and it is very CAS!
Yes, Marissa loved the card and so did her sister. The glasses are neat, I actually like all of those life cards in that pack. I love when someone asks me for a card!
I agree with you about the temps, but that’s what usually happens isn’t it?! I can’t wait for some flip flops! I hope that you got all of your projects done! Hugs to you! XOXO 🙂
great CAS card, fitting for anything other than sports as well, hope Daniel gets to meet his favorite characters and ride the teacups 🙂
Thanks Lynne! I’ll let you know what little Daniel is up to! 🙂
Hidee-Ho Justin! Great card today! I love the simplicity of it but it really makes a statement. Yellow just makes me happy! What a fun trip in store for little Daniel and his parent’s. I’m sure he’ll have a blast. I love Disney, even as an adult. So much fun. Your second card is just adorable! I’m sure Marissa’s sister loved it!
Hidee-Ho Karen!
Thank you! I love how nice and bright it is! Daniel had a good flight and I can’t wait to hear what he’s up to! I had fun in Disney in January! I don’t think that you can’t like Disney! Yup, Marissa’s sister loved the card! 🙂
Hey Justin, what a bright, cheery card – perfect for any sport, or pretty much any occasion really! And the second card is just gorgeous, did you get a whole set of glasses dies? They’re so cute! I hope your brother and his family have a great trip, and a fantastic time at Disneyland! I bet Daniel will have lots of fun 😀 So we finally met in the middle weather-wise!?! If we could just make it a little warmer, that’d be great, lol! Have a great day Justin xoxo 🙂
Hey Kelly!
Thanks! Yes, very bright! I do have a few glasses dies but those ones are on the card! So far the flight was a success! I can’t wait to see the pictures of him at Disney! Yup, we were the came temp! I agree, it needs to be a little warmer! Hope that you had a nice day! XOXO 🙂

Hi Justin – I especially like your SUO challenge card! Really nice interpretation of the theme! 🙂 I love the way you have the sentiment surrounded by the “rays” of sunshine. This is a great card to case.
Hello Lisa!
Thank you! It’s a fun simple card! 🙂
Both cards are beautiful Justin. Especially like the first one as it makes me think of ….. sunshine….. of course, the one that would finish melting the snow!!! and warm up the temps a little bit more. Don’t you wish you could be a fly on the wall and see Daniel’s face(s) at Disney?!?! Hope he made it OK on the long flight and slept.
Thank you Louise! Yes, sunshine, lots of sunshine! We need as much as we can get! I would love to be at Disney with them! He had a very good flight! Pic tomorrow! 🙂
