Well, I started off my weekend with some fun last night with some of my peeps from work! We went out to the bar and celebrated my friend Rob’s Birthday. The usual suspects were there and Fred being the bad influence that he is made me stay out until 2:00am! Hence my lateness this morning. I do have to say that watching everyone else drink is much more fun than drinking yourself! LOL! The rest of my day yesterday was nice, it was sunny and warm here again. I came home and had dinner, one of my favorites, homemade mac & cheese! I spent a little time in the Stampin’ Galley organizing and then Taylor came over and we took a ride to the shoe store to see if she could find some new sneakers. She didn’t but we’ll look again tomorrow. After that it was off to meet the rest of hooligans at the bar. Today I’m supposed to see my friend Sue for some lunch! That should be fun!
The project I have for you today is my Mother’s Day present as promised! I also have the cards from the March class at Scrap-A-Latte. But first I’ll get to the… I guess you would call it a layout! I used some papers from the Prima Butterfly Collection. I cut one slightly smaller and adhered Fun Foam behind it and adhered it to the 12X12 page to serve as my base. My brick wall is created using some Light Modeling Paste and a few drops of “Vintage” Bravo Burgundy Re-Inker. I mixed up the paste and color and then used a palette knife to apply it to a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The “bricks” are a piece of chip board from Blue Fern Studios called Shabby Brick Bits. I heat embossed the front with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder and pushed it into the paste. Once it had dried I adhered it to the page and surrounded it with some Prima Flowers, also from the Butterfly Line. The leaves are cut from Vellum and The Paper Cut White Gold Curious Metallic Card Stock with the Simon Says Stamp Clustered Leaves Die. They are adhered under the picture which is mounted to more Fun Foam and adhered to the page with SNAIL. The large butterfly is a combination of the Simon Says Stamp Paulina Butterfly, cut from Vellum, and the Devonshire Butterfly, cut from Blushing Bride. They are adhered to each other with 2-Way Glue and to the page with a thin piece of Foam Tape. The three smaller butterflies are the negatives from the Simon Says Stamp Butterfly Drift Die. A few sequins from the Prima Butterfly Chipboard Stickers Kit are adhered randomly around on the top part of the page with Glossy Accents and one of the stickers is added under the picture. Finally I used some Ranger Onyx Liquid Pearls for the bodies of the butterflies and brushed over the smaller ones with my Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen. I did end up giving this to mum in a frame last week because I couldn’t wait! LOL! Since I finished it way before I also managed to take it outside and get a nice picture, you can even see the sparkle from the Wink of Stella on the butterfly wings!
Next up I have the cards that I created for the March Card Class at Scrap-A-Latte. They use all Lawn Fawn Stamps and Dies. I think that my favorite one is the birthday card!

I was starting to get worried about why this post was so late! Since I already saw all of these projects, including the scrapbook page – whilst it was under construction and under a mound of paste! I love them all. But you knew that. lol
Yeah, sorry Michael, late night! LOL! Thank you very much! The mound of paste will not soon be forgotten! 😛
Hi! The memory page is gorgeous! So vintagey and detailed with so many elements…your mother should love it. I love the simplicity of the happy birthday card (last one above) because the bright colors are happy ones. Have a great time on the rest of your weekend! Nancy B
Hello Nancy!
Thank you! I had so much fun putting it together and yes, I gave it to her early and she loved it! I’m happy that you liked the class cards too! I hope that you are enjoying your weekend! 🙂
Your mother is going to love the page for her. The class cards are very cute. Enjoy your weekend!
Yes HJ she did! I couldn’t wait to give it to her! Glad you like the cards too! You have a great weekend! 🙂
Oh my, oh my, oh my. I’m a little overwhelmed with so many creations to talk about. You’re mother must have jumped up and down with joy at receiving such an amazing and personal gift. The “coup de gras” of your picture for your Mom to me is the curled paper on the diagonal corners. Everything on the picture is gorgeous but this little element really is outstanding. I would be so delighted to receive this from my children. I also loved the detail of the bricks among the flowers and butterflies!
You really make fabulous cards at your classes! My favorite is the one with the little guinea pig or gerbil. I’m not sure which it is but I love it. Honestly though, I love them all. They are bright, ingenious and beautiful. I so wish I was close enough to take one of your classes. They must be a ton of fun!
It’s cooled down here today and will remain only in the 50’s. We got spoiled the past week with all the perfect weather so I won’t complain. Will spend the day getting organized for my trip. You have yourself a Super Saturday my friend. Luv and hugs! 🙂
Yay! I love to get to overwhelm you with my post Grace! LOL! Yes, Mum did really enjoy the page! I thought that the curled edges were really neat too! I had a lot of fun making the bricks, I love to play with Embossing Paste in different ways!
Thank you! I have so much fun making the cards for class and the people that come to class really enjoy making them! The little hamster is neat and I thought that it would make a neat shaker! Oh how I wish that you were bale to attend my class too! We would have so much fun!
It was dreary here today but I still had a very nice day! There will be plenty more sunny days! I hope that you are enjoying your weekend and that you finished packing! Love you my friend! XOXOXO 🙂
What a beautiful Mother’s Day gift! You outdid yourself, and surely she was as happy as can be to receive it. Love all the cards you’re showcasing too. Great work!

The cards from Scrap-A-Latte are so much fun, especially the hamster card. Can you fly to UK and do some classes here please? LOL! Great photo of you and your friends yesterday too.
Take care, Michelle xo
Hi there Michelle!
Thanks very much! Mum did really enjoy the page and she loves that picture of Taylor and I! Glad you enjoyed the class cards! I am planning on coming to the UK in September!! Maybe we could make that happen! The picture form the Gala was fun! Hope that you are well! XOXO 🙂
Justin, the layout of you and your daughter is absolutely beautiful!!! What a great gift for your Mom. You are a true artist.
Your class cards are all adorable but the hamster one is fabulous!! Love the way it looks like he’s in his little cage. The birthday card is also really cool. Like the way the strings spell out the sentiment.
I was out all day yesterday, so just getting to your post. Went to Peddler’s Village in Lahaska PA with a friend. It was an overcast day but we enjoyed the shopping.
Thank you very much Gerri! I really appreciate that!
The hamster one was the favorite at class too! The balloon one was my favorite!
I have to look into Peddler’s Village, never heard of it! Glad that you enjoyed the day! 🙂
