Another gorgeous day in Manhattan! It was in the low 60’s and just warm! I got in early, walked don’t from Penn and went to Starbucks and had a Holiday Spice Flat White and it was delicious! From there it was off to Apple for My Genius Bar appointment for my iPhone. The guy that helped was really good and in the end they swapped out the phone for me! It took the better part of the day to put everything back and hopefully my battery issue is solved! Hanging with Anna and Barbara was fun as always and dinner last night was really good! We were joined by Seth Apter who is a really nice guy! Today I’m going to try and get through some more of my to-do list! Wish me luck! LOL!
The project that I have to share with you today is one that I have been seeing a lot of lately, ornaments, soΒ I decided to give oneΒ a try! The base for the ornament is Soft Sky Card Stock cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles. Across the lower half is a piece of Solar White 80lb that I cut with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders. All of the images are from the Lawn Fawn Ready, Set Snow Photopolymer Stamp Set and they are all stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, except for the tree and that is stamped in Simon Says Stamp Green Leaf. I used my Copics to color in the snowmen and then used the Coordinating Lawn Cuts Dies to cut them all out. Before adhering them to the background I stamped some snowflakes in Hero Arts Tide Pool Ink and stamped the greeting from the Lawn Fawn Trim the Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black. Santa and the sleigh and the tree are adhered with SNAIL and the snowmen with Foam Tape. I brushed the tree and the snowmen with some Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen and then adhered the ornament half to the background with Multi-Matte Medium. A piece of Lawn Fawn Green Sparkle Lawn Trimmings Cord tied to the top and my ornament is ready to hang on my tree! I had fun making this project and will definitely make some more! I hope that you enjoyed it and are inspired to try one yourself! Thank you for coming by today, I wish you all a super Sunday! π

Justin,
Cute ornament!!
Thanks Gerri! Have a great day! π
Just the cutest ornament yet! I love decorating my tree with homemade ornaments. The best ones are the egg carton bells the girls made in nursery school and the dimensional circle ornaments they made in Sunday School. Then there are the gold macaroni covered Styrofoam cups from Brownies (scouts)/ I have tons of Hallmark ornaments but I still love the ones the kids made when they were little the best. I think you should make some for your Mom, I bet she would love them! You have yourself a Spectacular Sunday. I’m hoping to get some Thank You notes made today to send after Christmas. Love to you my friend! XOO π
Thank you Grace! I think that handmade ornaments are the best! I used to have a lot that my mum and I made when I was little but I don’t know where they went to. I did get some more plastic balls to make some more yesterday! I enjoyed my day! Did you get your Thank You’s made? Love you loads!! XOXO π
I was wondering where you got the plastic ornament case.
The ornament you made is very cute!
Thank you Penny! I got it at A.C. Moore. You should be able to find them at any big box craft store! π
Could you also tell me what size they are
That one that I used yesterday is is about 2 3/8″ wide Penny. π
really clever! LOL, I need to tackle my to do list also, Damp here in Chicagoland, but 60’s. I wish this could last
Thanks Linda! The to-do list is ever growing! LOL! We had awesome weather yesterday but will get rain today. Loving the temps! Hope they stay! π
