Happy Hump Day peeps! I enjoyed my day yesterday! I FaceTimed with Andrea in the morning and then around 10:40 I headed over to see my friend Sue. We got caught up and then worked on some Easy stuff before heading to our favorite place for lunch, Panera! I had my usual Tomato Soup and a Grilled Cheese, YUM! After that we ran back to my house to pick up some more stuff for Etsy. I showed Sue some of the Taylor Swift Concert on Apple Music, she is a big Taylor Swift fan and loved it. I came back home around 5:00 and got my stuff together so I could head into Manhattan. When I got to the train station I found out that the trains were not going into Penn Station but terminating at Jamaica so I had to take the E and then F Subways to get over to Kim. We went to Baker Street for dinner and had delicious salads and the came back to the apartment and I set up some of her new electronic goodies! This morning I’m waiting for the TimeWarner man and then I’ll stop by and see Isabella before heading back out to the Island.
Hmm… Wednesday, that means that today is another Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…
Nice and simple! The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Crd Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black 110lb. For my background I stamped the Hero Arts Pearl Strings Bold Prints Background Stamp that Renee brought me back from CHA in Simon Says Stamp Cloudy Sky Ink on Solar White 80lb and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam SNAIL. Across the middle is a piece of Silver Glimmer Paper and Black 110lb. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th Being Classy Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the Thoughtful in Simon Says Stamp Scuba Ink using my MISTI so I could double stamp it to make sure that it was nice and dark! It’s cut out with the Coordinating Being Classy Dies and adhered to the strips with Multi-Matte Medium. The so is stamped in Versa-Fine Onyx Black directly onto the background. Another piece of Black 110lb is cut out with the Lawn Fawn Heart Stackables Lawn Cuts with a small red punched heart in the middle. A piece of Hemptique Black & White Baker’s Twine tied in a bow is then adhered to the small heart with a Mini Glue Dot. I love that nice bold greeting paired with the cool background! I hope that you enjoy my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! Stop by the blog and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for spending some time with me today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! π

Hi Justin, I really like this card. It is such a unique Thank You card. The “underlined” sentiment is terrific and so is the stamped background. Good thing you know your way around the NYC subway system! Have a wonderful day.
Hello Roseanne! Thank you! I like that nice big thoughtful and it’s a very simple card which is always good! I have an App for the Subway here! I can go anywhere in London but NY Still confuses me! LOL! You have a wonderful day too! π
I love designs that let a great background stamp shine! I have some great ones, but rarely think to use them because I am focused on everything else in the sketch. You did a great job with this one.
Thank you Emily! It’s a really cool background stamp and I love that I have it early!! I think that as long you go with a nice light ink you can use a busy stamp! Thanks again! π
I like this card. Nice font on that “Thoughtful”!
I have a crochet group at the Massapequa Panera every Tuesday. My favorite is Broccoli Cheddar Soup.
π
Thank you Nancy! Yes, I love that font too! I think that most anything at Panera is good!! Hope you enjoyed your group last night! Have a super day! π
Hi Justin:
Don’t you just love your Misti? I wish I had bought mine sooner. It is so much easier to use than the Stamp-A-MA-Jig although I do still use that a lot for my wood block stamps. Your card today is really pretty versatile! Thank You card, Valentine’s Day card or even a St. Patty’s Day card if you exchange the heart for a clover. Of course my favorite part is the accentuating silver glimmer strip. I bet you couldn’t have guessed that huh? LOL
Have yourself a Wondrous Wednesday and try to stay warm. It’s pretty bitter here today again with the wind screaming. I don’t think it would be too bad if it weren’t so windy. My plan for the day is stay inside where it’s warm and continue the “clean-a-thon”. Have to go out tomorrow no matter how cold it is so that give me all day today to mentally prepare for freezing my butt off tomorrow. LOL Hugs to you my friend. XXOO π
Hey Grace!
I do love my MISTI! Thankfully I don’t have many wood block stamps so I use it all the time! Thank you! The card was nice and simple and I love that greeting!
I did have a lovely Wednesday! It wasn’t too bad in Manhattan yesterday once the wind stopped! I did manage to do a little vacuuming when I got home yesterday and even dusted a little! LOL! I hope that you stay nice and toasty today! Love and hugs to you too! XOXO π
Love that card and that it could be used for so many occasions.
Thank you Carol! It’s a fun simple card! π
I love this card, Justin! Perfect pairing of a great sentiment with a fantastic background, underscored with glitter!
Thank you very much Linda!! I do like the line of glitter, sets of the sentiment nicely! π
What a great card, Justin! I like how you used a large diecut sentiment for the focal element. Such a great shade of blue! I also love that background stamp – super cool!! I have my mini MISTI on order so I’m looking forward to getting that when they start shipping out in March. I was glad I was on the fence for so long about the MISTI since it meant I was waiting for the mini all along. π
I’m glad I don’t have to take the LIRR when I go to the city as I always hear about problems on the LIRR. Metro North is my mode of transportation and rarely is there trouble on the line I take. (Just hope I didn’t jinx myself now! LOL)
Thank you Christy! I do like that ink color and the sentiment is a great one! Love the font! I am getting a Mini MISTI too! Renee ordered me one at CHA! I will definitely use the mini more the the full size one too!
Yes, there are plenty of issues with the LIRR! You are lucky that you don’t have any issues with Metro North! Have a great day! π
Yum, panera has the best tomato soup! Hapy hump day, onlytwo more days of work then I get to have a scrapbook day! I cant wait.

Cute card, Justin. I really like the size of the sentiment. I’ll have to look into getting some of the larger word dies, plus that is a really great font. Good luck with the snow this weekend. We’re predicted to have 18-24″ but I hope they are wrong again!
Thank you HJ! Yes, I do love that font na the fact that it has a matching die is great! I hope that you did ok with your snow, it’s coming down here. Hate it! π
Great card Justin! I love all the elements in it.
You have a wealth of great stamping products – luycky guy – wonder how you fit them all in your house/apt!
LOL – I NEVER will have enough space but one of my goals is to have them ALL in ONE room!
Dream on! Nola
Thank you Nola! I am really good at organizing apparently! LOL! I have all of mine in a walk in closet! π
Great design, Justin! All of the design elements coordinate so well. I really like the background that you created with the Hero Arts stamp, and the black and silver glitter paper both anchor and emphasize the sentiment in such a striking way. The hearts just add to the feeling of appreciation. Love, love, love it!
Thank you El! Love that background stamp! It’s like making your won Designer Series Paper! So glad that you like the card! π
