Hello and a very happy Saturday to you all! I guess that going to bed around 2:00AM isn’t such a good idea! My alarm went off at 6:30AM and I was awake… well… briefly, but I did one of those five more minutes things and ended up sleeping until 8:45! Oops! I still managed to get to workΒ by 9:40 and I enjoyed my day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I got caught up on a bunch of stuff in the morning and then my friend Sue came by around 2:00. We chatted with Renee for a bit and then went out and had lunch, some Panera! I got my favorite, tomato soup and grilled cheese! When we got back to the store we rearranged some things and placed some orders. Renee wasn’t feeling well so she left around 6:00 and Sue and I headed out around 6:50. When I got home I had spaghetti for dinner and then ran a few errands before relaxing for a bit watching some craft videos on YouTube. Today there is a crop at the store so I’m going to try and be crafty!
The card that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…
This card is actually the first card that I made when I got home on Thursday night! When I sat down to type my post I remembered about Fab Friday and then made that card! Hence the 2:00AM bed time! LOL! The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I cut out an oval from a piece of The Paper Cut Amethyst Stardream Metallic with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Ovals Lawn Cuts. It’s adhere to the card with E-Z Runner. My flowers are from the Altenew Golden Garden Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them in Jet Black, Soft Lilac, Lavender Fields, Deep Iris and Midnight Violet Crisp Inks. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to the card with Foam Tape and Multi-Matte Medium in a cluster on the right of the oval. I stamped my greeting from the Altenew Beautiful Lady Photopolymer Stamp Set in Jet Black on a strip of Solar White 110lb, cut a funky banner on the left and adhered it to the card with more Foam Tape. A single flower is adhered on the right and I added some Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst, Pansy Purple, Orchid and Sparkling Clear Sequins along with a few Rhinestones for a little bling! We all know that it wouldn’t be jk card without a few sequins! LOL! I must say that I’m loving the loose sketch look of the flowers in the Golden Garden Set, especially in the purples! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for your continued visits! I wish you all a spectacular Saturday! π

Such a beautiful card! The sequins set it off perfectly. Your Panera lunch sounds delicious. I’m sorry to hear that Renee got ill again. I guess your store hours are long and hard in spite of the fun you guys have there. It’s still work hours! Take care! Hugs, Nancy B
Thank you! Sequins make everything better Nancy! LOL! Panera was yummy! I hope that Renee gets back to normal soon! I can’t complain about work at all! It’s long hours but they are mostly crafty hours! Hugs to you! π
Good Morning Justin:
Nancy took the words right out of my mouth! LOL Those sequins actually do pull the card together. I love the lavender, iris and violet color combination. It’s so soft and feminine. I don’t know how you manage to “work your magic” during the wee hours of the morning. I need my sleep! LOL
You have yourself a sensational Saturday my friend and enjoy the crop!
Hello Grace!
The sequins definitely make a big difference! The purple inks are so nice and vibrant! I’m beginning to think that I make better stuff in the wee hours! LOL!
I hope that you have an awesome Saturday too! The crop is crazy! LOL! π
Omg I love the color combo of this card!! You did great!
Thank you very much Pam! π
What a pretty card. I love all the purples and that stamp set is gorgeous. I had to laugh when you said a jkcard wouldn’t be the same without some sequins. They add so much and your placement is always perfect. Have a great Saturday.
Thank you HJ! I love the stamp set! So nice and loose looking! I love my sequins! I have gotten better at my random placement! You have a fabulous Saturday! π
Just love your purple bouquet with the funky banner!!
Thank you Linda! Have a great day! π
Really pretty card, I lijke the abstract look of the flowers. LOL,, I am not, have never been and never will be a morning person. so yep i turn alarm off and fall back asleep. Usually I’m awake in 10-15 minutes, but I’ve had a couple of your experiences. LOL Just came back from a late breakfast with old friends. we shall see what today brings
Thank you Linda! I think that they flowers are really cool! LOL! I’m happy that I’m not alone! I try not to do it often but sometime the bed is just way too comfortable! I’ll bet your breakfasts are the best! Hope that you had a fabulous day! π
Fantastic card, Justin!! Love the placement of the flowers and the colors you have used. And of course, the sequins are so artfully “randomly” placed! Definite stunner!
I am such an early bird that I can’t comprehend what it must be like to stay up until 2 AM. Probably because I get up for work around 3 AM. “Late” for me means 10 PM. LOL
Thanks Christy! I’m so happy that my “random” sequins placement is random looking! LOL! I used to be an early bird but something changed and I am no longer one. 3AM Is super early! Wow! What do you do for a living? π
Such a sweet group of flowers. I love them in all of the lavenders and purples with the splash of sequins. I had to smile at your description of your day. Just last week, I took my son to orientation at a college out here in Colorado – we were driving down a road and saw a restaurant billed as a “grilled cheese and tomato soup” restaurant – Tom Chee. What a great idea!! Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
Thank you Kim! I like the deconstructed look of the flowers and the purples are nice for a change! I like that I get to share my days with you guys! I do love a good grilled cheese with a nice creamy tomato soup! That is a great idea for a restaurant! Hope that you have a lovely week! π
What a beautifully elegant card! I love the design. The way toy layered the flowers and added the sequins is stunning. Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches!
Thank you so much Cindy! I hope that you have a fun week! π
