Well, it rained Sunday night into Monday morning so guess what I was greeted with when I got to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store?! Yep, a steady stream of water from the ceiling again! I guess that they never fixed it from last week and we are supposed to get more rain tomorrow night. Hopefully it will be fixed by then! Renee had her Christmas Card Club Class yesterday and I worked on a few cards, I made today’s and a few Just because ones! After work as usual, I had dinner with my Parents and Taylor. I came back to my house and had a quick cup of coffee before heading over to Geroge’s to get Heather. We met Stephanie back at Heather’s and had an early Thirsty Thursday which also included a trip over to Target! I was good and only got a few necessities and some reindeer glitter! Can’t wait to use that in a shaker card! I got home around 11:00 and worked on my post before calling it a day. I’ll be flying solo at the Store today, Renee is going to spend some time with her grandsons. I have a ton of stuff to do so hopefully I will get through it! 😀
It’s Tuesday and that means that we have a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge for you…
A nice simple sketch! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and I stamped the falling snow from the Lawn Fawn Snow Cool Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lawn Fawn Merman Ink. Down the left side is a piece of Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Christmas Paper from the 6×6 Pad. My tag is a piece of Blue Mint that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Tags Lawn Cuts. I cut out another piece from Solar White 80lb and then used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders Lawn Cuts and made my snowy hill for my little scene. The images are all from the Lawn Fawn Cherry Christmas Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored in with Copics and cut out with the Coordinating Lawn Cuts. I adhered all of the pieces to the card with 3D Foam Squares and a Glue Pen. Through the top of the tag I tied a piece of Lawn Fawn Green Sparkle Lawn Trimmings Twine and then used two strips of Xyron Magnetic Tape to hold the tag to the card. My greeting is from the Lawn Fawn Winter Big Scripty Words Photopolymer Stamp Set, I stamped it in Jalapeño and cut it and three more pieces of Solar White 80lb out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered them to each other and to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. I used the magnet tape so that the recipient could remove the tag from the card and use it as an ornament! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Sketch Challenge! Don’t forget to stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the talented Design Team’s cards and enter yours into the gallery to share your take on the sketch with us! What is the ornament made from that the magnetic tape holds it? Thanks. Love the idea!
Thank you Linda! There is magnet tape on the back too! 🙂
Oh my! How clever is that? Thanks for the idea….now I’m gonna go make some more new Christmas cards that will also serve as a gift two for one. Woot woot!
Thanks so much Maggie! I love when you can remove something from a card and use it as home decor! 😀
I love the idea of an ornament that can be removed from the tree and the one you made is so super cute. When you do that do you sign or decorate the back of the ornament at all and is the magnet tape removable from the back of the ornament? I know, questions, questions, questions! LOL Anyway, it’s a fabulous card and I love it.
You had rain we had 3″ of snow. Not enough for the hubs to use the snow blower despite how long our driveway is so he is spending the day pushing it onto the lawn. I say pushing because I spoke AT him this morning about being too old to even think about actually shoveling that entire driveway. In addition to it being long we can park 8 vehicles in front of our garage and all that area is also paved. Sometimes guys can be so stubborn!
You have yourself a terrific Tuesday my friend. Love and hugs to you. XXOO 🙂
Thank you Grace! I really like when there is an interactive element on a card! It just has magnet tape on it, but you definitely could decorate it! That’s a great idea!
3″ of snow!! That’s 3″ too much! Your husband sounds just like my Dad! He gets yelled at all the time!
I hope that you had a good day! We have the parking lot being done today, grrrrrr!! It never ends!
Love and hugs to you! XOXO 🙂
