Oh yes, it’s Friday and an actual one for me! I did have a nice day at the Store, my Parents stopped by in the morning and some peeps came in to pick up their orders. My Parents were out at my Brother’s watching the kiddies so I had to fend for myself for dinner, pancakes it was! LOL! We had Thirsty Thursday at my house and Heather and Brian came by. We had a good laugh and it was nice to catch up with Brian, he has been so busy lately we don’t get to see him. I spoke to Jim on the phone for a while, he’s getting ready for his company this weekend. Today I have a haircut in the morning and then another fun filled day at the Store! 😀
What makes today an even better Friday, why it’s time for another Fab Friday sketch…
I played with some more new Concord & 9th goodies! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece of Solar White 80lb, I stamped the Concord & 9th Barnwood Background Stamp in Ballet Slippers and adhered the panel to the card base. I added a piece of Ice Gold Curios Metallic with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner along with a strip of Gold Glitter Card to the background. The flower and greetings are from the Concord & 9th Lily Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the Lily in Black Licorice using my MISTI so I could get a nice bold impression by double stamping it. The center is more Ballet Slippers and the flower is cut out with Scissors. My thinking of is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Black and that is adhered to the panel. I stamped the you in more Black Licorice and also used my scissors to cut it out. Some 3D Foam Squares adhere the Lily and you to the card and it’s done! No one likes to make a sympathy card but I think this would make a very nice one. I hope that you enjoyed my card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! There is some more inspiration for you over on the BLOG and we hope to see your creation in the gallery! Thank you for taking some time to come and see me today! Have a fabulous Friday! 🙂

Beautiful card! I love the flower and the layering over the barn wood background. Great soft colors with the black.
Thank you Carol! The flower is cool, nice and big and that Barnwood stamp is awesome! 🙂
love your card Justin – soft colors are so pretty – just pinned it!
Thank you Betty! I saw that you Pinned it, thanks! 🙂
Wow Justin! What a bold stamp that lily is. Seriously, you really did cut out the lily AND the “you” with scissors? My gosh, you don’t need dies, you are a super cutter! LOL If I had to cut out the word you it would end up looking like uou for sure. So glad you softened the bold image with a soft background. Just lovely.
Waiting for the snowstorm to arrive this evening. Crossing my fingers that we don’t lose electricity. We have the generator thankfully but it’s an in convenience and a life saver all at the same time. So glad you finally had a thirsty Thursday since you have missed a few. You have yourself a Fabulous Friday. Is this storm supposed to effect your area as well? Love and hugs to you my friend! XXOO 🙂
Thanks Grace! I like it a lot, it would be great if there was a die for it but when all else fails we do it the old fashioned way! I still enjoy a little fussy cutting, but the dies are much quicker! LOL! Sometimes the words just need to be cut out, really makes them pop!
Sorry about the snow, you have had enough for sure! I got in trouble for missing a few Thirsty Thursdays! Yikes! LOL!I think we had some rain, no more snow for us please! Love and hugs to you! XOXO 🙂

OMG I an so flippin tired of dealing with people. My desk and file cabinets were due in again today, spent 1 hour on the phone with the supervisor at Office Depot, he guaranteed me everything was on truck and would be here. Well, 630 pm no show back on phone with supervisor. Another hour on the dam phone. I’m sorry cant do anything about it now, lets try for Monday. Really……cancel order.
Sorry, I’m so bummed. I just want my room put back together. And I loved the set that I ordered. oh well… life goes on
