I know I say it all the time but the weekend goes too fast! It was a gorgeous day here. I had a nice time in Manhattan in the morning and ran to get the train, literally! Boy am I out of shape! LOL! Jim picked me up at the station and we came back to my house, saw my Parents for a bit and then jumped in my car, put the top down and went for a nice long ride along the north shore. It’s so pretty up there and the houses are so nice. We stopped at IKEA on the way back and had some Swedish meatballs for dinner and did a little shopping. When we got back to my house I helped him with some iPhone stuff. The rest of the evening was spent catching up with some other friends! So nice to speak to my peeps! π
Ahh.. Monday, it’s not such a bad day when you have a new Mojo Monday sketch to start your day…
My card starts off with the usual base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The background is a piece of Kraft that I stamped with the Concord & 9th Barnwood Background Photopolymer Stamp and some Doe Ink. Next up is a piece of of Chinese Red with the hearts from the Concord & 9th Love Always Photopolymer Stamp Set heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. I adhered that to the background and then a piece of American Crafts Gold Glitter Tape across it. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th By Your Side Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Cranberry onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. I adhered that to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold, Raspberry and Sparkling Clear Sequins finish it off! You know that Barnwood Background Stamp is my fave and I love the falling hearts too! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Make sure that you stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and let’s see your take on the sketch by entering yours in the gallery! I thank you so much for starting your week off with me! Have a magnificent Monday my friends! π

The background of the card and the color of the wall at first glance give the appearance of the foreground floating in air. Very cool!!!
Thanks so much Patrice!! Hope you re well! Miss you! π
Great card with the beautiful background and the red with gold hearts. I love the big greeting in that fun font. So glad you had a nice day in NYC and also got to drive with the top down. I know that’s one of your very favorite things to do. Have a great day!
Thanks HJ! I like the larger greetings that they have been coming out with! Nice and bold! Loved the ride in the car! It is one of my favorite things to do! π
HI Justin:
Lovely card today. The Barnyard background stamp is also one of my favorites and I love the way it shows up in this card that I’m sure is for a special person. Of course, my “I really love this” part of the card is the glitter tape. The hubs says if it’s shiny I’m attracted to it like a moth to the light.
Glad you finally got to take a nice ride with the top down on your car. I’m sure there will be lots of days when you can do that very soon. I’m also happy that you got to go into Manhattan again yesterday. I’d love to be in Manhattan today. The sun is shining and it’s going to get to 60. That should melt the last of the snow for this year and help my lilac bush begin to leaf out. You have yourself a Memorable Monday my friend. Love and hugs to you! XXOO π
Thank you Grace! Yes, on of the best woodgrain backgrounds there is! I knew you would like that Glitter Tape! LOL! Who doesn’t like a little shiny?!
I was happy to get to take a nice ride in the car, we went all along the water! Manhattan is alway fun, except when you run for the train! I hope that you are done with the snow!! You have had way too much! Love and hugs to you! XOXO π
Hi Justin,
Great card!! Love the gold embossed hearts. Great sentiment too!
Hello Gerri!
Thanks!! π
Gorgeous. Love the falling hearts. We hit 80 today! but Mother Nature is off her meds. its 39 degrees now and rainy. LOL
OMG yes, weekends go by way to fast. We need 4 day work weeks!
Thank you Linda! We have had the same crazy weather here, so weird!
We really do need to get the 3 day weekend made a thing! π
Your cards are always impressive, Justin! I agree about the weekends too – and I don’t even work all week, so sometimes my days can tend to blend, but the weekends do seem speeded up.
Love the wodgrain background.
Thank you so much Barb! It’s true, the weekend always seems to fly by!
Glad that you like the card!! π
