I had a wonderful Friday! It was Sunny and really nice all day! I went over to Heather’s in the morning and she made me breakfast! I worked on some things while she did her work. Around 1:30 I headed home and had a little lunch and then I did a little cleaning. Jim came by around 5:00 and we went out to dinner and then watched a movie. I’ll be seeing him later on today for the walk! This morning I’m off to Wading River to perform a wedding! Bet you didn’t know that I was Justin-of-the-Peace?! 😀
I have a fun simple card to share with you today for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches…
My card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I covered the front with a piece of Smoke Gray. Across the top is a piece of Soft Navy, I heat embossed the images and greeting from the Simon Says Stamp Seeing Stars Photopolymer Stamp Set in WOW! Rich Pale Gold Embossing Powder. Under that is a piece of Slate Gray that I cut with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Ovals Dies. The die that I used to cut the flag I can’t for the life of me remember what it’s called, it’s from Simon Says Stamp and I heat embossed one more star on it. Finally, just a few Rhinestones scattered among the stars completes the card. I really am quite fond of that stamp set, love the clusters of stars! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thank you for coming by today! Enjoy your Saturday! 🙂

What a great take on the sketch, Justin. I’m more into bright colors myself, but this is a very pretty card and I love the gold embossing on the soft navy. Love the greeting. It sounds as though you are having no trouble filling your days with fun activities. Take care and have a wonderful Saturday.
Thank you HJ! I have been getting into brighter colors but I still like my darks! Trying to stay busy, idle hands you know! 🙂
Shiny gold embossing powder – gotta’ love it. Great card especially for someone going through difficult times. For some reason this card reminded me of military. Maybe it was the color combo? Same as those of the dress West Point uniforms. Very neat, very impressive and very formal. Love it.
I to am a Justice of the Peace. One more thing we have in common my friend. So, how did you convince Heather to cook breakfast for you? Did you bribe her or what? Sounds like you will have a busy schedule today. Enjoy the weather and enjoy the wedding. Love and hugs to you on this beautiful Saturday morning. XXOO 🙂
Thank you Grace!! It does have a bit of a military feel to it. Must be the colors!
Oh, how cool that you are a Justice of the Peace too! Heather is a good friend and it usually doesn’t take much to convince her! It was a really good day!! Love and hugs to you! XOXO 🙂
Is there anything you don’t do? What a beautiful day for a wedding.
Great take on the sketch, I’m really liking that stamp set
