Another nice day here! They said that we might get some thunderstorms but they stayed to the north of us. When I got home from work I was Skyping with Andrea and she was showing me the storm clouds and a tornado to the north of her! There were some crazy things going in Colorado! I was part of a text conversation during the day that involved Brian getting his tongue pierced so I headed over to meet Heather at his house and we went to see my friend Mark at his Tattoo shop. I spoke with Mark about my next tattoo that I wanted to get while Brian got his tongue pierced. He didn’t even flinch, however my knees got a little weak at the sight of it! After we went to 7-Eleven to get him a Slurpee to help with the swelling. We got back to his house and I dropped him off and I headed over to Heather’s to meet up with Stephanie for some cocktails and conversation! I had my Whiskey Smash and all was right in the world again! I also got some fun news! Michael will be coming back to NY soon! I’ll keep you posted and let you know when he arrives! 🙂

Thankfully I made my card Tuesday night, 10:00pm is a little late to start making a card! That card is for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge…

Mojo399

I decided that I wanted something fun and colorful so I pulled out some bright Designer Series Paper and a fun Stamp Set! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb and the front is covered in a piece of Pumpkin Pie. The background and strip across the middle are pieces of paper from the Sweet Taffy Designer Series Paper Pack. I cut a banner from a piece of Rich Razzleberry and adhered it to the card under the striped piece. A piece of Tempting Turquoise is flagged on both ends and adhered on too of that. My greeting and crayon are from the Lawn Fawn You Color My World Photopolymer Stamp Set. The greeting is stamped in Hero Arts Butter to Orange Ombre Ink and cut out with the Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Circles. The crayon is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on Daffodil Delight and cut out with my Paper Snips. Some Fun Foam is adhered to the back of the circle and then it’s adhered to the card. The crayon is adhered to the circle with SNAIL. A scattering of Doodlebug Sequins are adhered to the card with Crystal Effects for a little sparkle. I do love the bright colors and fun stamp set! I hope that you like my card fort this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge! Thank you so much for visiting with me today and I wish you a very nice Thursday! 🙂

  1. Hey Justin, how cool is that ombré ink!!?! It is subtle but looks so good! And that crayon is the cutest! I really like this card, it’s very cheerful 😀 What tattoo design are you planning? Tongue piercing doesn’t sound enjoyable, I bet the slurpee helped! Reminds me of The Simpsons, lol! It’s Friday tomorrow, have a good one Justin! 🙂 xoxo

    1. Hi Kelly!
Yes, the Ombre Ink is very cool! I do love that Lawn Fawn Set, the crayon is cool! I am going to song lyrics on my forearm. I don’t think that I could get my tongue pierced! Although, Brian didn’t flinch! Yes, I hope that you are having a good Friday! XOXO 🙂

  2. Good Morning Justin!

As soon as I looked at your card for today I smiled. The crayon made me think of a rocket ship shooting into the realm of the stars (the sequins)! That of course was immediately followed by the song Rocket Man swirling around my brain. Now I can’t make the song go away! LOL

Love the happy, happy, bright colors in this card and I mean really, who would have ever thought stripes and dots could look so good together? Also, this card make me think of Daniel – such a wonderful card to send to a child!

Have yourself a Terrific Tuesday Justin! Enjoy this weather. I’m loving the scent of lilacs flowing through the windows all day. Just what I needed after this long, long winter. Oh, and a big HI shout out to Kelly!
Love and hugs my friend – good to be getting back into my “normal” routine! 🙂

    1. Hi there Grace!
Yes, the crayon does look like a rocket ship, thanks for planting the song in my head! LOL! I’m happy that you like the card, thanks!
I had a good Thursday! It wa sunny but a little humid here, I’ll still take that over snow any day! I too love the lilacs in my parents backyard, they got them from my grandmothers! It’s so good to have you back!!!! I really did miss you! XOXOXO 🙂
